USH'S GAME EPISODE V- 'MAUSOLEUM'- LIGHT SIDE AREA

Another one of the froggy Council members descends into the underground chamber.

"The riots are spreading throughout the southern quarter!" he says. "They are burning and destroying all that they see! The police headquarters for the area has been stormed!"

"What of our forces?" asks Jeren'Toc.

"The police were all massacred!"

"Yes, but the army?"

"Have you not heard? The Elder refuses to send forces out to fight!"

"What?"

"Yes! He says this is a temporary problem and does not require the deployment of force! People are dying out there!"

Jeren'Toc seems rather at a loss.

"If these were ordanairy weapons we could do much, but against your kinetic weaponary we have no defence"

Well, that's not entirely true. There are plenty of weapons around that you guys are used to not using sabres on- explosives, flamethrowers,, sonic weaponry... these are not the ultimate weapons of Jedi death. They even have notably less stopping power than a laser rifle- else Roan would either be dead or in need of far more serious treatment right now.

Where these weapons differ is that in all other respects they ARE like laser rifles- firing fast, long-range bolts (sonic weapons are short ranged, flamethrowers likewise, explosives have problems of their own etc.). So it makes a headlong charge on a mass of tropps impossible.

Nonetheless, with good tactics it is entirely possible to fight these people. Not quite on this scale though.

that's what I ment, the numbers are against us, with blasters I would want to give it ago, but like this we won't be able to do much.

"Well, we can help you, can't we?" says the keen one.

"hmm I doubt we are enough to stop the riots"

"You don't understand," says the keen one. "We are Council members. We all command portions of the city defence force!"

"How many LOYAL men do you command?"

They all look at each other.

"We're not entirely sure who is loyal, right now."

"Then you see my point"

"Well, theres no way to consult the elder, and we have no clue who is loyal and who isnt. And we dont know where the mausoleum is...Is there a means of scannig the underground in some way? Perhaps we couldd find it that way."

(Probably not)

It doesn;t sound very likely, no.

"But if you were to speak to the people!" says the keen one. "Once it becomes clear that the old legends are true! Who could possibly turn down the chance to stand side by side with the Jedi to save our world!"

"Hmm, Interesting. We need a plan of action, we shouldn't sit around here doing nothing for an extended period of times. Should we adress the people Masters?

"Jeren'Toc, can you have each of your people here contact their individual defense groups, quickly, and tell them to report here at once, without telling them the Jedi are here. We will speak to them collectively and convince them of our true intentions."

Whats to stop them from going nutts at us? Even if theres more of us, we would get casualties.

"I thinke that the presence of the council members will prevent any revolts."
