USH'S GAME EPISODE V- 'MAUSOLEUM'- LIGHT SIDE AREA

"Let's get this over with"

"Yes, a descent into the cleft seems to be a good idea, Master Gundark. As always, your judgement is best." He turns to the others. "As Master Gundark said, beware of traps or defenses." He begins his careful descent of the mountain side.

Outisde, it is still the same face-tearing weather as the grit of centuries of war sandblast into your face at high speed. Descending into the cleft does actually offer some form of cover, though it starts to grow dark very quickly.

And then... suddenly, in a blink of an eye, you feel as if you have been blinded. Your ability to sense the near future with the Force has suddenly ceased. Your danger senses are gone.

Kellan felt as if she walked into some invisible glue. The delicate thread of the Force she had been holding onto was suddenly cut away and she couldn't seem to grasp it again. "Marcus, I've lost part of my senses," she gasped, the uneasy feeling that had been growing turning into something a bit more horrible. "You ?"

"Woah, I felt something."

This can't be good.

Xeth rubs his temples for a moment, trying to adapt to the strange sensation of not being able to see the near future. To make sure that the Force is not gone from him, he lifts a small rock gently into the air with it and sets it down again.

"Well, that means we are getting close," Xeth says. "Unless planets naturally have a place on them where a Jedi loses the ability to see danger coming."

You've seen this place before, Gundy...

Your senses may be down but you know there is danger ahead. A cautious approach on a Sith stronghold is always a good idea.

Advancing cautiously,, you eventually come near the bottom of the valley, but you are on a ledge to one side of the mountain wall, having avoided the main path.

Ahead of you is the end of the cleft, disappearing into the mountainside, where a small metal door lies. But before that point- now faintly lit by small lights all around- are LARGE gun emplacements- double laser cannons big enough to destroy tanks, about a dozen of them, built into various hegiths of the rocks walls of either side of the valley (now closed by rock overhead). Zeitonian guards are on patrol as well, you can see Chion down in the middle of them, not far from the entrance.

Tricky...

Uhh, refresher.
Who Is Chion??

Hmm, anyway to sneak around them?

Chion is the scary-ass Dark Sider from hell, Burn.

For details on regular characters, for those who have not met them, use the character descrptions thread on page two (no point me linking as it is currently on a temporary address).

The direct route- not a chance. This is the approach to a Sith fortress; it is built to withstand armies and it can. You MAY be able to sneak up along the ledge you are currently on, up in the gloom near the ceciling, but that will not help you get through the door.

Tricky...

I say we continue sneaking along ledge.

Also, here's a thought. If we have no danger sense, neither do they. Therefore, if we were to shoot at them, they would have less time to react, except for Galder's combat experience, methinks.

Not going to try it, but it's just a thought.

Ok, so you guys are making your way acros tbe ledge, yes?

Yes, as close as we can get without being seen. Whilst we think of something. Like a distraction.....

I'm thinking we can create a diversion to draw the Zeitonians attention away (and Chion's) while we slip in the front door, no ?

It would have to be a DAMn good distraction. There are two dozen Zeitonians down there at least. Some are specifically guarding the door, and the approach is very narrow. Some are moist likely inisde the door as well.

Galder just came outside also.

The gun turrets turn occasionally, sweeping across the area with audible whirs. Through the opened blast shutters, you can see the beady eyes of the Zeitonians manning the guns.

'My senses are indeed clouded, it must be this place"

Also, here's a thought. If we have no danger sense, neither do they. Therefore, if we were to shoot at them, they would have less time to react, except for Galder's combat experience, methinks.

Ush, tell me what you think of this.

Xeth sneaks along quietly, muttering a curse in Geonasian as Galder emerges from the door. "We cannot do this quietly, can we?" he says to the others. "When we get as close as we can, we're going to have to barge in fighting."

You cannot sneak your way TO the doors- they would be about fifty feet below you.

There is abolsutely no way you can take this place by force without at least a regiment backing you.

"Hmm...maybe we should fly our ship back to the elevator and to the underground city, gather some forces. We cannot fight and win."

The Zeitonians were already growing beyond your control when you left. Also, Master Gundark knows that the situation is EXTREMELY urgent, from the premonition she had on the ship.

Hmm,
Ok there mebbe there's a back entrance, maybe we should sneak around and avoid the front.
