USH'S GAME EPISODE V- 'MAUSOLEUM'- DARK SIDE AREA

Started by Ushgarak78 pages

Well, at this point, you are falling, as you dive over the edge as the cylinder opens...

Galder, after beating Roan you have picked yourself off the ground from the rapidly disintegrating chamber. In the debris and dust you can see the way in, and the way on, but you cannot see anyone else. And this whacking great rock just blocked the way into the tomb!

Takuan, you slam, with some force and dazing yourself, to the floor far below., Obviously, this would have killed any non-Jedi... but you have time to pick yourself up as Marcus does not appear to follow.

So... the question now... do you try and escape, or make your way to the tomb?

Galder looks around, trying to judge whether or not he should get the hell out of the tomb entrance or whether he should pursue Master Gundark.

"It appears you have lost, Master Gundark!" he shouts over the din of crumbling rock. "Kuylen's destiny is complete!"

This rock is not TOO big, Galder... but although you have no specifics, you don't need to be a genius to realise that time is a factor here.

Umm... Is Rah dead? 🙁

Err, Dexx, a lot of people are waiting on you.

eek..sorry...i thought you hadn't posted...when is aw it was a post from yesterday...so sry.
now...to the tomb, ofcourse!

In that case, a few minutes later, you emerge into the antechamber where the rock-blocked door is. You can see Galder triumphant... but unsure what to do.

Your plan?

"this is it galder..what we've been waiting for..entering the mausoleum."
says TAkuan. He then starts lifting the rock, to throw it aside the entrance.

After your other trials and tribulations today, Takuan, this is a walkover... the rock is easily cast aside, and you enter into the tomb...

Takuan procedes carefully, not knowing what to expect

Ok, folks. The fights are done. Four people have entered the Tomb of Demnos, in this order: Kuylen, Gundark, and then Galder and Takuan together.

This concludes the 'game' part of the storyline, which has lasted over three years.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the players for putting up with everything I have thrown at them, and that applies equally to those who have only recently joined, all the way through to Rex and Gundy who have slogged through the whole damn thing, right from the first story, when the world was a different place! You have all been very patient at times when I have been busy, and also had to deal with a lot of hassle! My games are not easy going and I like the players to feel challenged.

That said, I am wimping out at the final stage. I don't have the heart to kill any of you arbitrarily so, Rah and Xeth, you can both be alive if you want to be. Xeth, however, will never totally get over that wound- he will receive no literal impairment to his stats but may have the occasional gameplay problem. But Galder already has an artificial arm; some people like to accumulate these things as trophies...

I like to think the game has gone well in general. Some things didn't work, some things did, some things worked great, some things never happened, and some unplanned things happened that were brilliant! Whilst the storyline was mine and my brother's, these details that REALLY make ther game are all down to you guys, so well done to you all.

What will follow over the next few days are the final post-script threads, including an epilogue, a summary of the ENTIRE storyline with all gaps filled, and the preparation threads for those who wish to carry on with a new storyline, all of which is very much prepared. I would also enjoy seeing a certain amount of general discussion of things!

Before all that there is, of course, one last section of play. When the relevant players are ready, I can do the 'Tomb' section for the three players involved. I considered making a seperate thread for that, but we may as well do it here.

Again, thank you all...

(You are truly welcome, Ush! And thank you for such a marvelous plot!)

Well this has been my first online game and has certainly been fun and more than comparable to any RPG I've played sat around a table.

Shame about the anit-climax for Rah but I take it that as he is alive but cannot enter the tomb when he fell he must have landed on a ledge or something and needs rescuing...

Yup, sorry Rah, I am afraid losing a duel kinda rules people out entering the tomb.

The Tomb

Takuan and Galder, you stagger on your feet as the whole Mausoleum shakes as it continues in its death throes. This corridor is pitch black,. and dust and debris is everywhere. Only your Jedi senses help you keep any sense of direction as you stumble on through. You are confused and disorientated and for a few moments, you lose track of things. Did you pass someone? You are not sure.

And then... you have come out into a lit room. it has a low ceiling, and you have to stoop slightly. This room seems perfectly calm amidst the destruction going on outside, and only a slight rumbling gives a hint that this room, too, is eventually doomed.

On the far side of the room is a large rectangular sarcophagus. A large golden plaque on the side reads:

DEMNOS

It has been opened.

Takuan amazed by what he sees, tries to overcome his enxiety and kepp his head.
"come on" he beckons galder "let's go take a closer look"

does the sarcophagus hide a passage leading somewhere? if not.....where's the body

Takuan, you approach the sarcophagus and look inside, nervously...

It is empty. Well, almost empty. There is a small silver plaque built into one side, inscribed in standard.

It reads as follows:

[There is a date here- the date is eight centuries ago]

On the orders of the Jedi Council, Jedi Master Sareth Komal, and his Padawan learner Tol Seyya, came to the cursed world of Zeiton. They located the Mausoleum, purged it, and destroyed the Cult of Demnos.

May the evil that once rested here remain forgotten by the Galaxy for all time
