Golden tentacles and glowing corridor.

Golden tentacles and glowing corridor.

This needs to be addressed, too. In the new trailer Neo seems to be walking – IN his real life garments AND blindfolded – down a corridor with an odd golden glowing light. We also see Neo – IN his real life garments AND blindfolded – seemingly being attacked by or absorbing some strange golden transparent tentacles.

If you look closely at the two shots, they seem to be… related.

So here’s my suggestion. It’s not a spoiler, I didn’t read the script, talk to the W-brothers, know Keanu Reeves (-sighs-), or already see the movie.

The Speak-machine seems to accept Neo’s “I can stop Smith” offer and jacks him in. Isn’t it conceivable that the machines give Neo some help (like in the myths the hero gets the Sword of Power or the Shield of Strength or the Helmet of… ehrm… cookie-making)?
Like a termination-code, or upgrades?

What if that’s the golden corridor Neo’s walking through? If you pause the trailer in said corridor, it is definitely NOT real. Neither are the tentacles. So perhaps, instead of being up-loadede directly to the Matrix – Neo’s digital self goes through some kind of upload/upgrade section? And the tentacles are not harming him? They’re upgrading his digital self.
He’ll continue along the path and slowly transform INTO the Matrix image we know of him.

Because his digital self isn’t working properly. The latest d-s he got, was Neo from the Limbo. Maybe the machines are reloading “the mental projection of his digital self”?

Thoughts? Ideas? Comments

I think that's what appears to him with his "advanced" vision. You know, looking past the flesh and the metal, maybe machine AI "has" a spirit also.

The orange hallway is what appears to him as he walks into the joint.

Could it be the corridor to the source?? That shot may be after he defeats the Smith Virus. Remember Neo didnt choose the door the the left when he was at the arc's place. So we really dont know what the source looks like.

Just some food for thought.

I still think this: The Orange And all is how he "sense" his surrondings, how he sees it. Ever See "daredevil"? The Grey Images is how he perceives his soroundings, Neo is That orange blur. But We also see Smith, We beleive he is in flames, but what if it is just how Neo "sees" him in the matrix, now?

So are you saying that since Neo has been upgraded (so to speak) he now has the ability to see the Matrix in a whole new way?

If that is the case, Neo would be superior to even the Programs.

This line of thinking would suggest that the MWAM would be true.

mmmm not nessesairly. He could still be superoir WITHIN the matrix, but I highly doupt the upgrade part.

It IS possible that the golden glow is how Neo senses his surroundings (and sees the fiery reflection of Smith in Bane).
Neo could then be reacting to the golden tentacles, because they ARE essentially, attacking his mind.

Neo HAS been upgraded. From the “Behind the Scenes” thread it’s now proven, that Neo’s not really in a coma at the end of Reloaded. His mind is still IN the Matrix and it is active.
But Neo’s digital self was downloaded after he rescued Trinity. So obviously he’s able to leave a copy of himself inside the Matrix.
That copy could’ve been on the way to the Source, when it passed by Limbo, and was caught by the Merovingian. But Neo is now capable of directly influencing the Matrix and whatever the Matrix-AI’s control even if he is not uploaded. That’s some kind of up-grade.

We already discussed this concerning HOW Neo stopped the Sentinels. When he stretched out his arm, he may’ve been doing something similar INSIDE the Matrix, to short-circuit the machines.

Okay, I need to screen-dump from the trailer. Anyone proficient in that?

/me raises hand. what do you want dumped?

figured u'd want these 2:

and:

Rys> Thank you! You read my mind 🙂 (OR first post)

SimplePriest, JediHDM, Sifer, Urot, Gabe, Rys, (the rest of the usual suspects)>

The two pictures above: What? Where? How? Why? Any clue?

hehe 😎

i'll snap another one of the tentacles thing, it happens kind of quick, so it's probably best if there's a couple of pics of it.

they seem to surround him:

these looks like serpah codes...
these are not matrix codes...
these must be some other kind of "matrix"..but also from machines world...
-but did seraph an oracle has same kind of code?
-in M1 oracle gives a neo a cookie, in MR she offers him a red candy...???

(sorry for my broken english)

Well, the thought that the Sentinel and the hovercraft scene were related, as we see a Sentinel go through the glass of the hovercraft, then we see neo with arms out being gone through by sentinel thing, but i dont think they are related, because there isn't a ship in the sentinel shot...so...i dunno, i'll contact Zion, see if i can obtain any info...Out.

My personal opinion is that it is their essence - in other words, their soul 🙂 - Read Plotinus 😄

I think that it still May be the sentinel crashing through the window. But that's because I think his orange vision is like that in Daredevil. He sees things related to the machines. Hence, he can see the squiddy, but he doesn't see the ship (because it's not part of the machine world).
Also, if you look down by his waist (when you're playing the clip) it looks as if he has his lap belt on. I'll have to look again to see if you can see shoulder straps....

Something struck me:
Is it possible that’s what Neo “sees” when the Speak-machine hooks him up?
I can’t remember where the usual plugs are positioned on the human body, but doesn’t it look as if the tentacles go for specific positions on Neo’s body??

Sifer> But if the golden tentacles are the essence, then Neo should also be attacked by a real sentinel, no?

I think the first show (Neo walking down the hall) is simply the hallway to where the Speak Machine is located. The golden glow is either effects to make it look cool, or it is the way the Speak Machine sees things.

The second one - tenticles? Seems to me this is either an attack on Neo, or him letting something (Speak Machine? Source? Matrix?) take the code that he carries, to avoid a system crash. (Probably happens after Neo kills Smith.)
