if you already know, don't even reply..if you didn't hear this riddle before...then you can put the answer if you know it 😛Say you have a 7 minute hour-glass and a 11 minute hour-glass. How can you time 15 minutes perfectly with them?

I am so confused.
]we know that each container will hold a curtain measurement of timer sand.
so if we were to take exactly 7 minutes of sand out of the 11 minute hourglass, there will only be 4 minutes left in it.
we will then take that sand and the whole 11 minute hourglass full, we will have 15 minutes

You mean you would empty sand into the 7 minute hourglass from the 11 minute hourglass. You would then have a 4 minute one and a 7 minute one. You would flip over the 7 minute one for 7 minutes. Then when that was done, you would flip over the 4 minute one. Then when that was done you would flip it over again, for a total of 15 minutes.
I got it! 😱

Um, is it:Put them both over, then when the seven minute one runs out, four minutes will be left on the eleven minute one. Then, when that runs out, immediately flip it for another eleven minutes, to get fifteen minutes.
No, that wouldn't work. You would just be waiting 11 minutes, and then flipping it over again. ❌
Read my last post. I got it. 😖mart:

When the seven minute runs out, four will be left on the eleven minute one, then you flip it and get an ADDITIONAL eleven minutes.
4+11=15.

No. When the 7 minutes ran out, you would flip over the 11 minute one for an additional 7 minutes, since there are still 4 minutes left.
11 - 4 = 7. That would be 14 minutes.

No, listen, after the seven runs out, DON'T FLIP the eleven one, there are four minutes left on it. When the four minutes are up, THEN YOU FLIP THE ELEVEN to get eleven minutes.
4+11=15. Duh.
