turn both hour glasses over at the same time, when the 7 minute hour glass is empty, the 11 minute will now have 4 minutes left to drain, that's when you start timing. when the 4 minutes are up, turn the 11 min. hour glass over again, and there is your 15 minutes! no stop watch, no cheating, HAH
