She frowned. "I'm lower ten you if that makes any sense. In other words I have no clue. Now answer me, where is Jak?"

Jacob leaned up against the wall and looked up at the stars. "Almost as glorious as then sun... though I will never look upon it again." Jacob removed and ancient cross from his pocket and didn't even flinch. "Stupid old legends and myths."

"I-I'm sorry Kiki but, Jak disappeared last week. I havnt seen him since the last e-mail 'my lady'." Vrix said. He then turned to face the wall before collapsing and blacking out from exhustion, lack of blood, lack of sleep and general fatige. He had been searching for Jak for almost a week. He wispered his last words before passing out. "Wait till you see Ozi's face when he hears t- the- the n- e- w- s-.............." He slumped to the floor.

She rushed over to Vrix and called some soldiers over to help her. Together they took Vrix up to his room and laid him down in bed. Kiki stayed, letting the soldiers get back to what they were doing. She sighed and sat by Vrix on his bed, looking down at her cell. “I wonder… If he’d pick up..” She bit her lip and looked down at Vrix.

Vrix dreamed the nightmare of deaths nightmare of fiery nightmares causing his body to actually heat the surrounding air.

She put her hand on Vrix’s forehead and pushed his hair out of his eyes. “Poor Vrix. You’ve been working so hard.” She sighed and picked up her phone, dialing Jak’s number. “Please pick up Jak.”

In the middle of no-where, or was it some-where. The phone rang. No-one answered, or was it some-one that didnt answer, the cell phone was oblivious. The ringing stopped as the cells battery died. Vrix moved slightly, consciousness sowly returning.

She growled and slammed the phone, stuffing it back into her pocket. When she saw Vrix move out of the corner of her eye, she forced a smile and took his hand. “Hey you… Are you ok?”

(good night)

Vrix smiled weakly at Kiki. Saying. "I'll be ok." In a lie, before falling back into the sickening, hunger driven nightmarish hell, Vrix was too exhausted even to eat if he could. There could be a chance that Vrix may die. But he was strong.

(Ill say bye bye! Jak will return but not the man he was!))

ok night hun! see you tomorrow!))

She frowned and quickly ran to his fridge. It was empty and hers was too. She cursed and ran back over to Vrix. She sat him up and opened his mouth. "Come on Vrix wake up... Please wake up." With no reaction she cursed and bit into her wrist. When her mouth was full she put her lips to his and forced her blood into his mouth. She'd keep this up until she saw life in him, or until she passed to from the lack of blood.

((Interesting how things work out huh? I didn't expect your character would harm herself. Even for Vrix's sake! Surprising.))

Vrix slowly came to. As his senses started functioning he opened his eyes weakly. The vision was blured but it was distinct enough to tell him, vaguely, what had happened. Vrix looked worried when he saw the draped form of Kiki over him. He noticed the blood from her wrist, her still existent one anyway, staining the bed sheets, realising that she had given him her blood. The realisation hit him like freight train at maximum speed. Vrix looked down on her. "I am sorry Kiki." He whispered, wishing he knew what Jak really meant to Kiki. "I truly am sorry." He whispered still weak. Vrix leaned over to check her life-signs and was relieved to find her heartbeat stabilised. He summoned as much strength as he could and got up feeling very dizzy. He procured some bandages and he bound the wound on Kiki's wrist carefully then looked over her mechanical arm very carefully, before he moved her onto the bed, in a comfortable position, brushing her hair from her face and placing her head carefully on the pillow. He then sat down on the edge of the bed feeling fully exhausted from such a simple task. "I failed you captain, I didn't look after Jak like I should have." he said more for her than himself. He then let her sleep it off, hoping she would be ok. After a few seconds he fell into the oblivion of sleep himself, again, beside her in the bed. (Note: No sexual references intended)

Somewhere, somehow, sometime, Jak felt Kiki's predicament. From that place somewhere, sometime he didn't even try contact her. He couldn't, or he wouldn't. Time was oblivious to it.....

((Hey DB))

yeah she's cute like that. lol where you been? Missed you on here.))

Kiki's eyes slowly opened about an hour later. When she saw Vrix she had to think back for a moment before remembering what had happened. She turned her head and smiled when she saw the bandages, then rolled over and hugged him. "You didn't fail me Vrix... Jak will be back soon." She could only hope that was the truth. 'I'm sorry for leaving you like that Benjii. Maybe we can hunt together another time.'

Benjii looked up from the 5th human he killed and heard Kiki's voice 'its alright' he looked away to find another victim and sighed...he found a couple out for a nights walk and he quckly slit their throats and he drank their blood and sighed and said to himself "Benjii...you knew he was coming back...why did you get like this and how?"

She pulled away from Vrix and sat up on the bed. ‘No it’s not. I just left you there. I’m deeply sorry Benjii.’ She sighed and fingered the cell phone in her pocket, wondering where Jak was and if he’d ever return.

Benjii looked around with blood on his face "if you wanna make it up come hunting with me later...thats all...we can talk about why i....nevermind" he sighed into the cold fall night and laughed to himself

"So many humans... and the hunters. I might as well be going up against my own kind." Jacob growled and then returned his gaze to the street below. "Too many to go alone at my quest.. but I can't call in to my familiy for assistance. Or can I?" He looked at the ground and sighed. "Will they even forgive me?"

When Shona awoke, hours had passed. Her body felt numb, and stiff, and the room in which she lay was dim. Music still throbbed on outside the room, but her senses felt dull. Breathing in deeply, she took hold of a plastic cup that had been set next to her. A note had been scribbled on a napkin beneath it.

' I work bar shifts from 10:00 to 4:00...I noticed you in here, and figured sooner or later you would need some water. Call me, cutie. '

Beneath it a number was scribbled.

Shona gulped down the water in short, quick swallows, before crumbling the note after reading it once more.

"Charming..."

she grumbled as she swung herself off of the couch - which was actually fairly comfortable - and onto the ground below. She dragged herself to the opposite side of the room where a mirror stood. She studied her reflection intently, and made an attempt at fixing her pale golden hair. Silvery strands stuck out at all angles, and Shona carefully rearanged them to lay flat on her head. Soon enough she looked just as she had when she'd wandered into the club, and just as discreetly wandered out.

Tipping her face to the wind, Shona breathed deeply, catching the scents of the city. After wandering a short while, she ran into the man from earlier....he stood alone. For a while she let herself stand unnoticed , then stepped forward.

" Sounds to me like you need to forgive yourself first. "

Shona said, stepping forward. She leaned against a wall and gazed up at the sky, pushing a peice of hair behind her ears. her deep, crimson eyes nearly glowed in the light of the moon, and her black trench coat billowed in a breeze that blew.

((He's really a full-breed but his brothers tricked him into thinking that he wasn't)

"I'm a half breed... I'm an impure blood. A disgrace to my family." Jacob glanced over at her and studied her features for a moment. "Hmm, you seem a lot like a girl that lived in my village, just you are more independant that she could ever be." He pocketed the cross again and pushed himself off the wall. Walking towards her very slowly he waited to see just how she would react to seeing a vampire waging a war againt their only food source. "Besides, my family would turn this area into a hell-hole once they finished."

This news gave the vampress a slight jolt. She let her eyes fall on the others face, and studied him. She hadn't perceived this....
My senses....they must still be inefficient.

" It matters not, considering you carry the honor of a true vampire. "

intently she watched as he approached her. She took in his every move, processing and storing it. She hypothesized his next move, and stood prepared in case of an attack, though she didn't quite expect one. While he was certainly not at ease, he wasn't intending a fight. That much, at least, was clear. She sniffed at the last bit he said, and ran her fingers through her hair.

" As many other clans would. Some of our kind are lacking in the....self control area. "

"Honor or not, my power will always be at a limit due to the human blood and I don't even get an advantage from it either. I don't even get to resist sunlight." Jacob sighed and watched her. She seemed very different from most vampires. She was calm and collected and never seemed to jump into anything. He felt like she was studying him and making a note of how he moved, talked, and maybe even thought. It would be wise to seek her out as an ally.

"I perceive that you do not much like humans either."
