He smirked, holstering both guns. "I just took your back for no apparent reason, helped you fight off an army of SWAT and plainclothes, as well as some of the city's finest, and had three occasions upon which I could have shot you in either the face or the back of your skull, and you doubt the ability to trust me? Impressive. You'd be good as a bounty hunter..." He removed his hat and lowered his bandanna from his face. "Name's Cerberus, least, that's what I'm going by nowadays." He looked away for a moment. "The other name... my birth one... Holds too many memories..." He looked around at the mess they'd made. "Poetic, isn't it? They say 'To serve and protect' however they only do so for their own. Anyone like us or even the ones of their kind not on the inside, and they treat them like dirt. And now nearly half the force is dead or severely injured BEYOND surviving the night." He smiled. "Poetic justice, thy name is irony..." He turned and looked the other over, the gun still in his face. "Drop the piece, if I were going to kill you, I'd have done so during the firefight." He sat down on the sidewalk, head against the lamppost behind him. He ignored the fact that it was covered in blood. "So... I've introduced myself... I've explained off the poetic justice of the situation..." He rose again to his feet, recovering his face, though leaving off the hat for the moment. "I think I've finished for now. Who might you be?"
Vrix lowered the gun. "I believe you. I hope you know I could have killed you at any instant too. I am Vrix." He walked over and nodded to Cerberus. "Thanks for the help. (and your welcome for me setting up the intro for you and you seeing it. I say: What an entrance)." Vrix, in the fashion of a human, offered his hand to Cerberus. "Nice to meet you stranger."
<<haha! didn't even realize that! thnx!>>
He shook Vrix's hand, nodding his understanding. "Then I suppose we have no need fear the other's homicidal tendencies for the moment. Not a problem, either. Like I said before: Poetic Justice." He turned, looking into the sky as if searching for something. "I suppose it's all for the best that we're done dealing with them for now, but it's strange... That particular chopper... I recall they only send it out wen they're on the hunt of something... or someone..." Checking that his guns were loaded, he suddenly moved toward a building, planning on running for the roof in hopes that it would prove an effective place to make his move. "And they never send just one..."
"Don't bother. Here, you obviously havnt mastered warping." He grabbed Cerberus's arm and then disappeared. They materialised on the roof of the building. "What do you plan on doing?" Vrix asked. He let Cerberus's arm go. 'Follow my scent Kiki.' He said mentally to the other that had been with them during the fight.
He raised a hand, then walked to the edge of the building, vomiting off the side. "Warping... My least favorite part of being a vamp..." He smirks and walks back, guns raised. "Of course, that's beside the point. I intend," he aimed straight toward the approaching sound of the rotary blades, "to snipe right where the chopper's rotors are attached... and..." He fired. "Checkmate." The chopper fell to the ground, demolishing the buildings under it. "I'll be damned if I can't find a way to blame that one on the PD, too, when the papers come out..." He sat, wincing slightly as he did so. "I'm getting too old for this..."
"Sorry, I'm use to the effect of warping. Nice shot..." He commented. Taking one of his own pistols out at the sound of- "What the-" It took Vrix a second to roconise the noise. "RPG!!" He shouted spinning to the sound, pistol raised, his eyes focused on the speeding projectile. He figured they had about a second, and with Cerberus's dislike of warping he had only one choice and everything to chance, which stengthened his resolve. Almost in slow motion he shifted his aim degree, by, degree then fired. Berfore the sound of the shot had even reached Vrix's ears, the roof top was bathed in a soft orange glow. Vrix watched the fireball expand from the RPG mere meters from the roof. Then the shockwave hit him followed closely by the flames as they continued on the same path as the rocket. Vrix was blown backwards, shrapnel piercing his body, the flames then burned him. He landed back on the roof. He didnt move but he wasnt unconsious.
Kiki had watched the whole event unfold on the streets below, and when she heard Vrix she nodded and took off for the rooftop they were on. Only seconds before she reached the building, a shock wave from an explosion sent a chill down her spine. She jumped onto the rooftop and knelt down beside her partner. "Oh god Vrix." She rolled him over and ripped part of her shirt, wadding it up and laying it over his wound. Carefully she put pressure on his wound to slow the bleeding. "Can you move?"
<<sorry, been in and out of the house... back for a moment, but may be a few days after this post, fair warning...>>
Cerberus was knocked back by the explosion, unsure what had happened for the moment. As he landed, his head knocked against the side of the building's rooftop, sending a sharp pain through his neck and shoulders. The shrapnel cleared, and he tried to stand, though he felt too weak for the moment. "Damn..." He coughed a bit, then tried again, making it to his feet barely, though he wasn't quite sure if he'd make it too far. As everything went black, he saw the female from before run onto the roof. And then, he collapsed.
<<sorry so short, I'm a tad bit rushed... gotta leave for work in a moment...>>
Vrix looked at Cerberus as his body collapsed. He then turned to Kiki. "The RPG unit is on the western rooftop. Kill them horrifically for me. Then take care of our friend there. I will heal." Vrix sat up and winced as pain shot through his body. "Go! Take pittiful revenge." Vrix leaned his back against a metal strut as he watched the smoke, still existant in the air. "Dammit I should have reacted quicker!" (not that he could be quicker but lol)
<<damnit, got canned from work... oh well, more RP time, now...>>
Dream World
The trees swayed gently in the wind. Midnight. He looked down at the gravestone in remembrance. It had been three years since her death, but three years had only worsened the pain. He kneeled, placing next to it some white roses. "I've been training every day. I'm finally ready. I plan to move tonight to take my vengeance on them, the ones that did this to you. Please... Know that I would have saved you if I could have..." He stood, walking away, though a stranger met his eyes. "May I help you?"
Seargent Odihiru fired the RPG at the two individuals on the roof. It exploded with a satisfying thwack. Turning to go he led his SWAT team down the nearest roof access and into the building. He had to be careful. "Lights on!" He ordered and the team moved forward carefully. (Take em out one at a time. Scare them.)
She nodded and kissed his forehead. “I’ll be back as soon as I can. None will escape.” Before she left she knelt down beside Ceberus, ripping off a strip of her jacket and tying it around his head over the wound. She stuffed her jacket under his head and carefully snuck into the building. She smirked as she made her way through the building, carefully planning her revenge.
Benjii came out of the shadows and pulled out from under his trench coat two sawed off shotgungs "well now i have another reason to kill" he jumped onto the roof where a couple of officers were setting up equipment, he fired two rounds and killed three out of four, then drained the other "now why can't i have a regular night with friends? does it always have to turn out to have complications?"
Vrix heard the gunshots. He had wondered where Benjii had escaped to, "Looks like our friend has resurfaced." He whispered to the still form of Cerberus. He got no reply.

Seargent Odihiru split he SWAT team into two groups and sent the first group of four officers down the first stairwell they came to. Odihiru then continued down the hall checking rooms one by one till they heard a scream from behind. The seargent spun around as a shadow had elapsed his comrade disappeared from sight. "What th-" He fired several shots from his machine pistol hitting nothing but the wall behind where the thing had been. "Dammit. Team two we need your assi-" A breath of air brushed past his neck causing his spine to quivver. He also spun around..., to nothing. "Wha- what the hell?" The young officer besidebhim looked up into his face with a scared look in his eyes and as the seargent looked at his companion something slowly appeared out of the shadows from behind him.
The world continued to fall apart, the stranger insisting that he held a means for insuring Irvine's revenge on Rika's killers. Irvine laughed, asking what the Hell it could possibly be, then stood in shock as the man lunged at him, puncturing his neck with teeth as sharp as a wolf's and draining the blood from him. Was this some sick religious thing? He fell, weak, and almost lost consciousness. The man slit his wrist, then offered it to Irvine, who subconsciously partook of the crimson elixir pouring forth from it. When he came to, all he had ever known was changed.
Cerberus sat up with a jolt, his head ringing, his eyes growing a deep crimson shade as he jerked his head toward the building, gunshots echoing in the distance catching his attention quickly. He shook his head, the ringing subsiding for the moment as he looked around, a bit shellshocked and disoriented. He turned to Vrix, the first living thing he'd seen since now awakening that had an intelligence above that of a pigeon. "What's happening? The gunshots... We should be helping them." He looked around, noticing their wounds for the first time since awakening. "F*ck... I hate cops..."
She grinned and looked the men before her over from head to toe. “So… You’re the ones who hurt my partner… You’ll pay for the blood you’ve spilt.” She smirked and put her hand over the sargeant’s mouth, pulling him back into the shadows. “I’ll be back for the rest of you soon.” She appeared on the rooftop with the sargent by the neck. She set him own beside Vrix and looked over at Benjii. “Ah, there you are. I’m glad you’re ok. Will you help me? I can’t do it all on my own.” She looked over at Cerberus and smiled. “Glad to see you’re up and about.”
