Kill Bill is pure genius....nobody puts a film together like Tarantina can.
And i love his kick ass women......hate to sound like a fem on her soap box,
but seeing a screen full of sexy women in their thirties, wearing motorcycle gear, and knocking each other across the room (while listening to a pumping soundtrack)
you just sit back and think Y.E.S!!!!
ok let me clarify my previous statement of matrix being original. I diddnt mean so much the story which is still an inspired, but original idea.It's deffaintly a great story. The story is simple, but lacks solid substance. So they covered this up with incoorperating philosophy and a bunch of ten dollar words. this i believe is the reason to both its succes and dissapointment. They should have stuck with it's simplicity. However when i said it was original i meant more the style and technique of its creation. the style was different than most action, sci/fi movies. this is because the action relies on the story rather than the story relying on the action. the concept of bullet time was hinted at and tried but never achieved. They pulled it off with great grace and perfection that will leave future movies looking up to its achievments.
back on topic KILL BILL is brilliant quentin proves he is a force to be respected. the action is a great homage to the attempts of japanese kung-fu movies. It mixes percise realism in it's fighting style with momments of blaintent over exxageration. This made for some of the best if not the best fight scenes in movie history. In most action movies when people get punched or kicked they dont even acknowledge the pain aspect. Kill bill had several fight scenes, like the one with uma and vivica, where the characters actually had to stop fighting because the pain became to much. Quentin even remarked about this. Now this wasnt the main drive of the fighting, because the climactic scenes require a human of super ablities to endure the inflicted pain. When i say Kill Bill is original i again mean the style and technique of it's creation. The story no where being orginal. It is overly entertaining dont get me wrong, but the story is the same revenge premise of alot of movies. Now what he mixed with this typical story is what made it orginal. He went everywhere from japanese anime, Chinese history and ancient philosophy to american movie cliches. This makes for a great style and technique in bringing us a KICK ASS movie
A basic story full of clichés. Some are on purpose cos this movie is a big homage to B movies.
But for a movie by Tarantino (I dont like him), with Uma Thurman (I dont like her) and with Samurai fights (i dont like those).
I actually enjoy the movie.
Aside from all the impossible things that happen in the fights and stuff. It has a huge mistake that just bugs me...but I was surprised.

There is also the posibility of her hidding the dead bodies some place where they can't be found for more than 13hrs. Anyways that's a very careless hospital too! If an employee like Buck get's away with his sickening business and some one like Elle Driver can sneak in and try to kill the bride don't you think that hospital is Crappy? 🙂
Anyone who has not seen the Kill Bill Vol 1 should. You have no idea what you're missing. Everyone I know who has seen it says it's really good, and it really is. And the the previews they air on TV...they do the movie no justice. The previews are horrible, and I mean really horrible, but go see the movie anyway and you'll find out that its totaly worth every cent you paid and even more. People who haven't seen it say it looks like a knock off on the Charlie's Angels movies. How wrong are they!!! Kill Bill is nothing like Charlie's Angels. Kill Bill is a brilliant movie. Its violent, but the violence is done in a humurous manner. Tarantino is a guiness! I can't wait till the Vol 2 comes out in February.
