"True, but I wouldn't rely on him if I were you".

"The interest reflects the importance the Council is putting on these missions, San," says Marduk. "It's hazardous duty, and what with Neo around, everyone is feeling very confident. So they all show up."

"as long as they don't pull stupid stunts we'll be fine San"

Sirin quietly walks in and seats herself towards the back.

yea I thought so, he'll turn up soon I hope. Btw how's the wounds? you seem like you're able for a new round of killing mechies

"I'm ready, I've been keeping myself fit for the past two months while you guys have been out having fun. I though maybe this time I'd try taking two swords, incase I end up losing one again. Maybe take a Wakizashi as well as my katana."

"Hope you know what you're doing, then, Cloud." Hawk remarks casually. "A person weilding two swords without practice can be just as dangerous to himself as anyone else. I mean, don't get me wrong, the download programs are great. But true prowess only comes with years of experience."

He grimaces. "Even if it was only in my head... damn machines."

"I know. But I'm only planning on using it as a back-up, or if I need to split my concentration. I'll need to test how it works out, if it doesn't I can always resort to my fists. It usually comes down to that anyway."

Helios had heard the announcement, but he did not arrive in the Training Hall until now. In the mean time he had been making an attempt to look his best. Though he wanted to make a good impression on the captains and other potential crew members, whenever he went out in public he went through great pains to make sure he looked good. He held himself upright as he entered, and walked over to where Cloud and Hawk were talking, waiting to be noticed.

Burn's sitting next to Ares and those guys. Feet up on another chair. Waiting for the fun to begin.

"Everyone wants a bit of glory then, huh? Not surprising." San says to Marduk. "Still, it'll be nice to get back out there, not to mention to see how the new guys measure up."

Cloud turns to San, "Yeah, hopefully we won't be the only two still able to fight, again."

"Twice that's happened...certainly isn't very fun. Not like doing something like facing Agents is very fun even when we're not the only ones able to fight..."

Mirage quickens her pace as she makes her way to the hall. Spotting an empty seat, she plops down.

"Well if I take a more combat oriented role this time and Mors stays alive a tad longer it should work out. Nice Samurai touch Cloud, just make sure you use em right"

Slumping into a Chair next to San, he quickly looked over at his Crew mate, and gave her a Playful shove. Dislodging her from her seat, which he promptly occupied with a Large Boot. Grinning, and looking at the others, he joined the ongoing Conversation. "I've always been a bit of a Gun Nut myself, until I was put out of Commission. During which time, I started "playing" with Swords. I've become quite efficient with them, and I've come to prefer them. I'll actually be carrying two Straight-Bladed Tachi Swords myself. Although I wont be giving up my DEagle, of coarse."

"Personally, I think that waving pieces of metal around is like fighting flies with chopsticks, especially against agents..." Firewall spoke up, his deep sarcastic tone completely out of character.

"Eitherway, not everyone is fighting for recognition, some of us find solace and focus in fighting for our cause..." his regular pleasant tone returning with a broad smile.

"Nice, Barb. Now move your foot." San says, perching back on the edge of her seat.

"And you'd be surprised how effective swords can be. I prefer knives myself, they're small, but they work. Quite well, actually."

Withdrawing his foot from San's chair, Barbarossa Stands to Tower above the newcomer. Looking down at Firewall, Barbs asks, scorn in his voice "Really? And exactly how many Agents have you faced? Don't judge something you know nothing of." Pausing to Stare for a moment longer at the Recruit, Barb proceeds to slump back into his seat.

((I listed my character as a Veteran, does that stil make me a newbie as I havn't been a part of the last Matrix game?))
