Gundark pondered a moment. "Why don't you take the weapons control instead, yerssot ?" She winked at him. "I heard you're a fairly good shot." She turned to Morpheus. "What's the quickest route back to your ship ?" she asked him. "Those fighters are moving in again." She studied his face. "I'm open for suggestions."
Yerssot smilied, ... he never realised that master Gundark had that much fate in him...
He ran over to the weapons control where he took over the place of master Morpheus.
He searched the ships, they were still far, but they were closing in...
The young knight gave more power to the shields, he dropped the power of the weapons a bit, so the speed could boosted up.
Well, yerss, if you have the weapons, you have the scanners... aside from the two fighters coming at you you can detect at least two dozen fighters and other ships in the air above the settlement. A blockade! You'd better move quickly in case any of them swoop down.
(And to answer on behalf of FM, he can tell you where he parked his ship. If you can get clear air in front of you it should take you about two minutes to fly the transport there).
Enemy torpedoes locking on...
"Hmmm... shields have dropped a bit..."
Yerssot lowered the power of the weapon-system a bit, so the extra power could be sent to the shields...
He took a bit more power, that way the shields would recuperate faster and the ship had a bit less power so master Gundark could get the ship faster under control
The young knight saw a button that he recognised from his own ship: it was the button that activated the "complete particle shielding", since the ships carried proton torpedoes and that this shielding would negate it, he decided to push the button.
The shield lightened up a bit and Yerssot heared a low buzzing sound, after a few seconds the sound stopped. He knew that the complete particle shielding was now active. This would gibe them a huge advantage...
(note; I talked with Ush about things, "complete particle shielding" does exists and is used in the BTM-CD, an EU source, but Ush agreed that for an EU rpg EU sources can be used.)
Lance ,the lost Jedi, was with the group awhile back. When they got to the volcano he got seperated. Now he found where the group left their marks in the walls.
Lance says, "Yerssot? Gundark? Anybody? Where are you guys?"
When nobody answers Lance decides to use the force to try and connect with his teammates.
Yerssot? Gundark? Can anyone hear me?
Yerssot heared a small voice in his head... it was calling him...
Yerssot? Gundark? Can anyone hear me?
He paid it no attention, but suddenly it came back stronger and louder...
Yerssot? Gundark? Can anyone hear me?
The young Jedi shaked his head.
"Master Gundark... ... is it possible that there is ANOTHER Jedi here? I keep hearing this voice, it's calling me and it mentions your name!"
The young Jedi concentrated again but he didn't heared anything ...
Lance knew he felt at least a couple of force sensitive people. So he decides to probe deeper with his minds eye.
Help. I'm lost whoever this is please tell me how to get out of here.
Lance keeps repeating this until he gets an answer.
Someone: Who is this? Lance?
Lance: Yes
Yerssot: This is Yerssot. Do you know where you are?
Lance: All I know is that I'm at the base of this big volcano.
Yerssot: Good do you remember where we landed?
Lance: Yes
Yerssot: Just head there. I'll tell you more when you get there.
(sorry Ush, speeding it up a bit, because Gundy isn't back till Sunday, and I'm not online on Monday and Tuesday, and FM is almost never online during holidays, I agreed with Lance on this method)
The young knight shaked his head, ending the communication...
"Master Morpheus, master Gundark, we are going to get some company! I felt and communicated with our fellow companion Lance... If you have no objection I asked him if he could go to the hangar, so we can keep going to that and he will get there too... ... If you don't mind that I took a decision without both of you masters knowing it..."
Yerssot added that last one quickly in order to not upset the masters
Debris clattered against the viewport as Gundark wrestled the controls. This thing isn't going to take much more abuse... she thought as she glanced sideways at yerssot, listening to his thoughts. "We'll meet up with him if we can make it to the ship in one piece," she answered. She pushed the throttle as hard as she dared. A smell of stabilizer exhaust and burnt insulation leaked into the small craft.
Lance is running as fast as he can to get to the ship. On his way he trips over a large piece of rock.
"Awww!" Lance exclaims.
He hits the rocky surface of the volcano hard, and learns the rocks don't have any give to them. He examines his leg, where he hit the hardest. He notices a large red stain on his tunic. He lift a part of his tunic and looks closer only to realize he can see a piece of his skin and flesh has been ripped off.
He picks himself up and thinks to himself, "I don't need to worry about a healing trance just yet. I need to get to the ship."
When he starts to walk towards the general direction of the ship he finds that his leg is weaker than he thought. He falls over again, but this time he uses the force to cushion his fall. He gets up again but he decides to take it slow this time around. Now when he starts off again he slows every time his leg hurts.
"Slow and easy Lance, you can do it. Just be careful." He thinks. Now he is on his way again.
