USH'S GAME EPISODE I- "AVALAR"- Light Side (Lance Windu, Gundark, Phinney)

Started by LanceWindu46 pages

Lance is limping around on his one good leg. He decides to reach out with his feelings again. He ends up reaching a couple of minds that he didn't feel earlier.

Lance: Master Morpheus, Phinney how come I didn't feeel you earlier?

No need for worries now, friend Lance, first we have to get to the ship!

Ok, as you say my friend. I would like you to know that I am almost at the ship.

I'm sorry, but we picked up a small farewell-commitee, we will arrive shortly

Sorry for my absence. Just popping in very briefly; I'll be back proper in two or three days.

A note: Watch it on the telepathy. I don't want people having entire telepathic conversations, DOUBLY so with people that you have no close and/or family attachment with.

I don't mind people transmitting thoughts and feelings but actual whole dialogues are over doing it. All we ever got in the films- and this is from family members, remember- are things like 'Father' and 'Help me', and even then I think it was more on feelings than actual words.

It's not a big problem, just it could become one later if everyone can always talk to each other no matter what.

Meanwhile...

Yerss, I think you should be aware that your shielding is not designed to take multiple torpedo hits... this is assuming that a planet-bound transport would HAVE such shielding... I will assume it is a stolen military vehicle (originally from Damagran).

The transport is wobbling unsteadily around the edge of the volcano. Small arms fire pings continuously off of it; it does not look like a problem yet. A far bigger problem is the continued attention of pirate fighters. More are coming from the blockade above; at least half a dozen now. The shileding has taken several hits and is looking dodgy.

Gundy, you have rounded the station and the main complex is laid out before you. You can make the docking area in about a minute, which you think you can make. Actually landing next to FM's ship would be a miracle.

Lance, you don't think you can catch the transport by following it. But if you cut through the lower cable car station (which the transport is having to fly around rather than through), you should be able to rendezvous with it. You'll have to be careful- the lower station has at least 20 guards in it.

Yerss, if those incoming fighters ALL fire and hit then this thing is going to be in more than two pieces...

(good to have you back Ush, thought we lost you to the real world, but you came crawling back 😈 )
(ok, I'll stop communicating)
("would have such shielding"??? you were the one that told me that every ship had those! and it neglects the phsygical effects of the protons, so only shockwaves survives, I thought)

Every ship would, but this is a planetside transport, remember? More like a large snowspeeder.

BTW, about the telepathy thing... I don't want to sound silly, but you guys DO have communicators, you know.

Lance decides to take the lower cable car station, since he doesn't feel he can follow the transport. Lance suddenly feels a lump near his belt satchel. He takes it out and examines it closer. It's his comm unit. Lance turns it on and tries to contact Yerssot.

Lance: "Yerssot, come in. Come in Yerssot."

Yerssot: "Lance you're ..ming in pre... scratchy."

Lance: "It might be from when I triped over a rock earlier."

Yerss: "Well what is th.. call abo..?"

Lance: "I'm going to take a short cut. It's in the cable car station."

Yerss: "Be care... there might be some ....le in there that you don't want to me... And may the ..... be with you."

Lance feels like in idiot because he completely forgot he had his portable comm unit. But nonetheless he heads to the cable car station. He stops about a fifty meters away from the entrance. He decides to probe for any minds. He finds a few intelligent beings. He searches the closest head for any dark secrets. The mind is not very smart. Almost like an imbesule, but deep within he is a dark, evil man, yet he feels he is doing the right thing.

Lance feels like he could manipulate his mind and sneak by. He steps up to the entrance and walks in...

(Ush, now you sound silly! Cimmunicators come on! What will they invent next? Ships? 🙂 )
(You're now changing things you said, I think...)

Yerssot highers the shields and lowers the weapons a bit.

"We can make it," Gundark told her companions, throwing caution to the wind and putting the throttle to the stops. The transport was flat out as they rapidly approached the spaceport.

When they passed a few barrels, Yerssot destroyed them with his quad lasers. They didn't do much, only give a lot of smoke.
This smokedevelopment was very good indeed, now the fighters didn't got a lock on their ship

Good shooting yerss. The fighters will have to re-position themselves, gaining you guys valuable seconds!

Yerss, you also pick up the sensor readings as a ship lands on the upper part of the volcano. You think it is the one that buzzed you guys earlier- presumably belonging to the Dark Jedi you fought earlier. The ship is long way away and now covered, before you think about taking a pot shot.

Gundy, the tranport shakes and whines as you put the power in... with all the systems pushed to the extreme, you are pushing it;s tolerance, and it starts to shake...

Lance, you know the transport is speeding up. You will have to be fast!

One of the outer guards in the station levels his gun at you. (I am assuimg your sabre is not out)

"Who are you?" asks the guard. "Show me your identification!"

"Hmm, seems like our mysterious friend is there, master Gundark... can we make the ride less bumpy? I think speed is less important then sitting in this ship, we can always outmaneuver them..."

"My indentification? (Waves hand in front of the guard) You don't need to see my identification. You will take me to the infermary to heal my injured leg."

Guard, "I don't need your identification. Come with me."

The guard looks a little bit confused, Lance. He wants to take you to the infirmary, but he also has orders to stay at his post. Darn it, the Mind Trick looked so much easier when they were teaching it.

"Err..." says the guard, thinking it over.

(BTW, yerss, Lance is just outisde the station right now and so there is only one guard with him; inside there are more. More importantly, though, they don't know his face yet so they won;t immediately shoot)

"You must take me to the infirmary. I am a new guy here and I was told my the higher ups that if I need help then somebody would help me."

"But I don't know if I can believe you."

During all of this Lance had left his comm unit on. Master Gundark and everyone else on the transport had heard all of this.

Lance, "If you don't believe me you can use my communicator and ask the boss.

"No..." says the guard, still uncertain. "That's ok... you'd best come with me..."

he leads you into the staion. This place has been done oiver by two things- first, the collapse of the cable car mechanism (which was torpedoed earlier), and second, a recent gunfight. Guards are running quickly through it, keen to catch the fleeing transport, and not many people are looking your way... for now...

"One minute and counting masters! We need to get out of here soon!" Yerssot yells towards the both.
He makes sure that there is constantly a mist between them and the fighters

Lance follows the guard through a maze of people running around the station. He knows that he may be in trouble so he is trying to come up with a plan to get out before the trouble even starts.

Lance,"Where are you taking me?"
"You don't need to know."
"(Using his Jedi suggestive powers)Yes I do."
"Your going to see my supervisor."

A lot of the guards around here are looking confused.

(Out of game, this is because their commander is missing, but you guys don't know that)

"My supervisor..." says the guard. "Yes... Arashan. I'll take you to see Arashan."

The guard has nearly led you to the far side of the station.
