Eminem

I find his lyrics repetitve because they are all geared for simple shock value. He'll make a silly song to apeal to the bad humor of MTV. Then he'll follow it up with a "deep" song about how horrid growing up in a trailer park is. He continues this formula for every album, trying to cross as broad a horizon as possible. But I'm on to him.

A friend of mine made a funny comment about him. "yeah, i grew up in a trailer park too, and you don't see me whining about it, just get over it"
I find this to be a very true statement.

I did find it hilarious how he finally proved once and for all how he can dish it out, but can't take it. At the mtv music awards (I believe) when triump the insult comic dog went to try to make fun of him, he had his "homies" go and gaurd him to make sure triumph couldn't get through. I thought that was pretty hypocritical. He makes generic insults about everyone he dislikes, but when a puppet goes to try to make fun of him, he's too scared to take it. What a crock.

pretty much every musician does this. They will make a song that they know will appeal to a larger aduience than just there immediate fanbase, in hopes for a popular singe. Or even to gain more fans. Then they will produce other songs more along there chosen style, a style that is noticable through every album

i dont like his music (except for 2 songs) but i dont see a problem in his music. let him just rap/freestyle.

Eminem has his right to free speech even though some of his lyrics affend people. But hey don't we all say stuff that affends people at a certain part. I mean you might not be affending the person you are talking to but you maybe affending someone else either in the room or in the World.

i liked Eminem for 2 weeks but now i couldnt care less....
he acts if his 2 good 4 everyone on award shows....
when he gets on stage he trys not 2 smile....

I believe that Eminem has some strong messages in his music, and that there is some truth to a few of his songs, and I do mean FEW, but he goes about the wrong way of getting those messages across and people don't usually see past that.

Eminem writes out big long thank you lists for when he wins an award. Any artist who really truly thought that award shows were a joke would now write out a thank you list.

Oh really........then why is he always telling people he is from Detroit. Looks like he would mention that he is really from Kansas City and the closest he ever came to Detroit was when he moved to Warren Michigan. For all of you who don't live in Michigan (I'm from Ann Arbor, born in Ypsilanti)........Warren is nothing like you saw in 8 Mile. There were no gangs in Warren when I was growing up, and I'm younger than him. He's just a trailer trash kid who wants to be something he is not. A street thug who raps.

Eminem is all about image. He claims he is from the Ghetto of detroit........but is really from a trailer park in the hick filled Warren. He carries UNLOADED 9mm. and pulls them out on people when they threaten to kick his ass (was sentenced to probation and community service for doing this to Douglas Dail). Yeah.....real thugs carry their pieces unloaded don't they. I guess because he has never lived in a ghetto he didn't thing anything was going to "go down" which would require him to have bullets in his gun. He simply carries it to scare people who are SMALLER than him so he doesn't have to fight them.

Eminem is completely fake. He's all image.....and a completely falsified image at that. All you white kids bumping his cds......every real rap fan is laughing their ass off at you for listening to this wannabe. Having a black producer who grew up in Compton does not give you street credibility. He will be forgotten in a few years. You might aswell start referring to him as Vanilla Ice. Well actually......he's not as good as Vanilla Ice. Atleast Ice was original with the whole "white boy pretending to be something he's not" concept........Eminem had to copy Ice.
