yeah I think 17 high school valley RPs is more than too much...
everything here now is like like teenage mutant ninja superheroes on vacation at haunted summer camp, all the same name characters, same powers, same histories, but supposedly new and original and different story ideas...
it's like 17 different writers telling exactly the same story in a very slightly different universe, that still goes absolutely nowhere... fast
and then, there is the Unhosted Western, the Adventures of Buddy Reno!
the greatest western epic ever made!!!

And your characters, please make them unique and original and story and setting-sensitive... I mean, for example, there's a Rowan, who is a 'normal teen' but is cursed with terrible nightmares about a demon of dreams with claws for fingers etc etc, in like 8 different RPs right now... same with one-winged Eddie, the telepathic teen who has a certain fetish with ice or something, also the same character in 18 separate stories... its like the continuing Adventures of Rowan and Eddie to read one, some, any or all those different games, which essentially makes them all the SAME GAME, so what's the point?
I've been in like 4 or so RPs since finding this place, and I've been 4 or more very different, unique, original (most of the time) characters, all with new histories, descriptions, names and styles...
Buddy Reno-- cowboy, gambler, renegade soldier, hapless hero
(like 4 or 5 other characters in the Western as well, all with different names, histories and motivations)
Sgt. Thunder-- Army soldier guinea pig, weapons master super hero
Rico Halliwell-- Charmed One: the Next Generation, a witch or warlock
Landro Baggins-- a hobbit, distant cousin thrice removed to Bilbo
Alexander Rico-- hapless assistant, part-time lover to Tela Croft
I think a few more in threads that died real quick, but the point is nowhere was a name or same exact character cloned, or cut and pasted to more than one universe, more than one story thread or idea. If y'all are that lazy that you can't come up Worth fresh characters, guess what? chances are you won't come up with fresh material for your characters to investigate or explore either! and it's true!! I've read the same Ice vs Fire fight in at least 3 separate stories, once Frosty and Pyro get bored waiting for updates!!
it's just sad that the Western has to die, while the Ice vs Pyro Adventures of Rowan and Eddie go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on....

hey its hard to remember every different character so keep the same and its all good, and i only have telepathy and ice, in rps with magic allowed

you should take credit, well up to page 50 something any way before you bailed on your baby, the greatest epic western ever told...
point is the story goes on, and into different directions than the 17 other adventures of Rowan and Eddie, Pyro vs Iceman in high school fighting mobsters stories that are running rampant thru 17 separate threads
the western stands out, really, and not because I ROCK in that story! well, not only for that reason...

amen to that... I have nothing against you personally Frost but when people do that it irritates me a tad... Also when people make no effort to make their character and/or playing style fit in with the genre... ie Rivendell elves don't go around saying stuff like "right on!" and "yay!". Especially when you're playing the part of a character that already exists somewhere else, in a book or movie, and the behavior of your character in the RP is completely opposite what it was in the original source. And last but not least when people's characters seem invincible, and even when everybody else in the game tells them whatever they did was impossible, they still refuse to believe that ten bullets to the thigh generally make a person fall down.

hey Buddy fell down after he was shot in the ass!! its just that, in the old west the calibers and all that of the bullets isnt so huge and massive and great a thing as in present day, and Greg's aim wasnt so true or he would have actually hit me in the spine and killed me, oh and Buddy has a big fat flabby ass that absorbed most of the shock... so if THAT's why you ran off from that one, that's just sad...
