ok the celestial war takes place in the year 2012 when the supposed apocolipse is said to happen but in this thread its going to be the celestial war so in the celestial war there are 2 specific types of angels. life, and death angels. life angels were born on the planet earth but realize what they are when they turn 14 and when the war happens some of the life angels will be thousands of years old ok and the death angels were people who died, went to hell and were turned into angels by the morning star aka satan. and in the year 2012 morning star orders te death angels to go to earth and then from earth enter heaven but god gives orders to the life angels (not personnally) to prevent that from happening so a war breaks out on earth between angels of life and death you can be either one of the kinds of angels ok thats it

Look around, see all the games where the same 4 people are playing the same 4 characters in 4 supposedly unique and original universes? the same characters, same names, same 'powers' same histories, having the same conversations, same love interests, basically the exact same story told in 4 separate threads, with only very very slight modifications in syntax or order of appearance or things like that?
seems redundant, at best...
I mean sure the 'concept' was 'original and fresh, but to say 'how about Elemental Wars' we all control mutants who are masters of different elements, and we fight each other and fight evil too' YAY!
then 3 posts down the page 'how about (another) next-generation X-Men reborn revisited, we all be mutants with different powers fighting each other and fighting evil too' YAY!
(same 4 characters sign up for Elemental Wars and for X-Men the Next Generation, as Earth Air Fire and Water (or more spcifically, as Storm, Frost, Pyro, and Rowan...) etc etc...
few more topics later, how about a LOTR game involving mostly elves and magic? YAY! I'll be the Ice Elf, I'll be the Fire Elf, I'll be the Earth Elf, and I'll be the Air Elf (guess who, same 4 players, same 4 characters, same same story)
few more topics A MATRIX:Regurgitated? YAY! (I'll be Iceman Smith, I'll be Hellfire Smith, I want to be Super Fly Boy Air Master Smith, I'll be the Smith from the crater at the end of Revolutions, only now I control the Earth...) (get the picture??)
you can just use your mod-god powers, go into the same-game, same-players/same-character universes, and say "HEY! take this crap to the XXXXXXX Thread, since you're playing the same game there any way already, and lets clean up this place!!"

But Im having fun here.I dont want it to be all strict and heavily moderated I think it should be our choice which game we want to play and how we want to play it.I think I should be able to use the same stats in every game and not get crap about it .
Ush asked for advice or tips or what to do, how to crack down, in order to make games more worthwhile, as some games are redundant repeat rehash of the same characters doing the same things in several different games... all those repeated rehashed same characters same plots same same same, is what is not worthwhile...
how can it be fun to be the same exact character, play the same exact way, use the same exact cut and paste posts from 1 game to the next to the next to the next?? what is 'fun' about CTRL-C.... CTRL-V... copying text from one story to the next?? how is that 'fun'?? or worthwhile at all, compared to actually using whatever little other imagination you have, actually putting forth thought and effort into actually following the 'originality and freshness' of any given idea, and posting something equally original and fresh, rather than the same old same old cut-paste copy from that other game you just posted in??
how is it possibly 'worthwhile' for anyone to do that, to play exactly the same character in 2 or 3 or 4 completely 'different' and 'supposedly original' games, environments, universes??

how is CTRL-C... CTRL-V 'FUN' at all? or is it REALLY that much fun to actually take the time to retype exact same posts word for word like that? again, where's the imagination, originality and freshness in that? it's laziness, not FUN!! you're being lazy, and careless, which takes something away from the overall value of each thread where you post rehashed retread repeated material, thereby diminishing the worth, making each successive game thread less and less worthwhile to pursue and continue... especially when the same 4 players infest all the RPs and all use the same practice of repetition!!! nobody else wants to play the same game 4 times over, so it comes down to just those 4 players, playing all the games, but really only playing one, and nobody else has any fun!!
the simplest way around it I suppose, if not to lay down the law and make any actual rules about such style of play, would be to actually read thru the game threads, take note of the lazy morons who play like that and kick their asses from the game, from the board and from my universe!!
barring that, there should have to be some lesser level of control, monitoring and god-moderating...
it's not fair to let a few ruin so many threads and so many games for so many of the rest of us who do have active imaginations and aren't lazy irksome fooks... those few should be warned, threatened banned, casterated skinned and tortured, so the rest of us can GAME ON!!
I will remind you this is the Unhosted area. I have no intention of personally forcing people to run games the way either I, or individual posters, want. It is a very rules-light area. Games should be kept together by common community, not by enforced dictums from me. That IS possible, I can see it in here.
This is why I asked for suggestions to help improve things- I want suggestions short of such dictum. If I don't think that is possible, then we have to consider the future of the Unhosted area- there is no point regulating it to the point where the games may as well be hosted.
I doubt that will happen because, as I say, I see some games here running just fine. So I was after more constructive suggestions.
For example, if some posters are continually ruining games, then perhaps we can start up a community system via which perpetrators are identified, advised, and if necessary banned.

implus do you ever see x-men characters mixed up in a story against satan? i dont think so the only problem i got is with the character system. i admit that when i started out i used the same character more than once and i dont now. but some of these people have been here since september and they still use the same characters over and over or base there characters on the same idea like xman. ill somtimes look at some of the registratoion threads and see 'can i be edward,im a mutant with ice powers' with the same old stuff over and over and and over again it just doesnt seem as fun to go through a different story with the same people. ok thats all i have to say....... anyone like my game idea?
ps. it wouldnt be fun without a fight between good and evil and its even funner to be given a choice to be either one
