ACCKKKK!!!
In writing my last reply I came upon something.
The prophecy is explained by Morpheus as:
MORPHEUS When [the man born inside the Matrix] died, the Oracle at the temple of Zion prophesied his return and envisioned an end to the war and freedom for our people. That is why there are those of us that have spent our entire lives searching the Matrix, looking for him.
Who was the Oracle at the Temple of Zion?
The same Oracle that we know and love? Or someone else?
If it is the same person, that would lend credence to the MWAM theory. Or that the computer/Matrix programs have figured out a way to live outside the Matrix. Hmm....
Tshirts> That’s just semantics.
You can speak of a prophecy being (or becoming) true or not. It’s of course more correct to use the term fulfilled, but I doubt anyone here is in doubt.
The prophecy WAS a lie. The Oracle has told Neo’s predecessors do this and this, then The One (you) will end the war. Of course, you could go further and say: Well the war DID end, just not the way mankind liked it.
Otherwise it’s easy to be an Oracle.
Tshirt I prophesises, that if you buy a lottery ticket, you’ll win a fortune. Next week, you get back at me going, “no I didn’t.” Then i can just say, but I didn’t mean THIS weeks lottery, although it was inherent in my prediction what was meant.
As for JediHDM's theory: i think we need to go back and look at all the threesomes soon.
