Well there are.... questions about Rachels true parentage. But seriously he could have and probably was a mentor/father figure for her when she grew up. There's nothing weird about that. I mean if u grow up in X-men Wolvie will probly be like ur uncle (at least if ur Jeans kid), look at Kitty and Jubilee. Wolvie has a soft spot for young girls (and redheads, so a redhead girl, fugettabatit). Also I dont mean that in a icky sort of way. no2

Wolverine is over a hundred years old. Most Marvel women are young girls compared to him. When Mariko Yashida was born he was like 70.

True, but I haven't really seen any of the other girls calling Wolverine as old man or any other termanology relating to a father figure. Maybe you have, but I can't recall anything. Also, to my knowledge (so correct me if I'm wrong), her past is a mystery, even to herself. Who knows, maybe way down the future Jean/Phoenix and Wolverine might have a relationship...

But I can also see your point, I mean, Scott didn't appear to be much of a father figure to her.

But in the Marvel Previews for Post House of M, Marvel claimed that something would happen with Rachel. **head fills up with possibilities**. Could you imagine the scandal if Rachel was the love child of Wolverine and Jean from the future??
That would open up a new opening for Emma and Rachel to duke it out with no holds bar 💃

wow that wud be amazing that wud be gr8 if that happened!

What does Emma got to do with?
But that would be cool

Because Emma and Ray hate each other with a passion. Whenever they fight on the astral plane, Emma uses cheap tricks to win, like showing Scott ignoring Ray and making out with Emma, amoung other things.

I bet ya if Scott wasn't her dad, then Ray wouldn't be affeted by Emma's cheap tricks.

I think it would still affect her, I mean she would look at Cyke as her dad, he raised her and all I would assume.

yes, i thot that too!

I don't know about the "raising her" part. He did/does seem quite distant to her. Whenever she needs "comforting" and crap, she usually runs to other people rather than her supposed father Scott. When have you ever heard her refer to Scott as "dad" or talk to him in a loving manner. I can't recall one, but I have not read every single X-title to confirm that, so if you say so, I'll take your word for it.

Well I mean he raised her i DOFP, not in the present, but she still considers him as her dad, since he is the same person who brought her up only it hasnt happened here.
True she doesn't really run to him maybe because she knows this cyklops hasn't really raised her, so it might not be the same from his side.
In her early days she always thought about scott and jean as dad and mom, but didn't know how to tell cyke (jean was dead). Haven't got issues where she did though.
In The Adventures of Cyklops and Phoenix and scott and jean get shanghaied into the future to raise baby cable, and they both pretty much saw elderly rachel (mother askani, whole other story) as their daughter.
She is later in a coma and cyke says this: "Sorry... I never treated you much like a daugther when I had the chance. I just wanted you to know... How very proud I am to have been your father. In case I never made it clear to you before... I love you, Rachel Summers."
Ahhh... cry

yes also when mady has a baby rachel holds him and starts talking about scott to the baby telling the baby she is his sister and she loves him!
