It is a mess but they had to be merged since all of them were about the same tingjust like how the bible came about then 😛
If you believe in god but don't worship or repent you still end up in hell. That's already been stated by religious types on this forum many times.so in other words if you dont suck up to mr "I am so full of myself" you be damned. Instead of being looked uppon as omnipotent being god should be looked uppon as egocentric being

That is a rather pesimistic way of viewing it. Half the reason I have faith the way I do is pretty much summed up in your quote, Finti.
I believe in a higher power. I believe in Heaven and Hell. I believe that God will forgive your sins if you truly are sorry you sinned.

I think I'm quite capable of treating others with respect without falling to my knees and begging god to forgive me of my humanity. The very thing that you claim he is responsible for.
I never said it was dishonest.
"Organized religion destroys who we are by inhibiting our actions, by inhibiting our decisions out of fear of some intangible father figure who shakes a finger at us from 1000's or years ago and say, 'Do it... do it and I will ****ing spank you.'"

That sum it up? I agree. ORGANIZED Religion is a waste of time, independant faith is not.
😆 Perhaps.
I am merely saying that the styling's of the Catholic church are very archaic. The God portrayed in the Bible is not who God is. Everybody who has faith believes in their own fashion anyways. Nobody's faith is exactly like anyone elses either.
It does not matter what you believe, so long as you believe. And if you do not, then that is your choice.
