Okay, new angle on Ush's "Force feeling" theory, with which I still not agree.
Summary: Ush does not believe Jedi can feel the Force in a person, only that they can sense minds. He says about the ANH line of Vader "The Force is strong with him" that that was just an expression of saying he was lucky, not that Vader in fact felt that the Force with strong with him.
Now, here my new angle on this which I hope proves Ush wrong.
Quote from ESB, a cosy convo:
VADER: What is thy bidding, my master?
EMPEROR: There is a great disturbance in the Force.
VADER: I have felt it.
EMPEROR: We have a new enemy - Luke Skywalker.
VADER: Yes, my master.
EMPEROR: He could destroy us.
VADER: He’s just a boy. Obi-Wan can no longer help him.
EMPEROR: The Force is strong with him. The son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi.
Especially the last line is important. Now, I doubt that the Emperor means that Luke is a lucky boy here. He actually senses that the Force is strong with Luke. So why would that be any different from Vader's line in the trench.....?
