ET didnt die.....did he?

No, but kids wanted him to stay instead of leaving at the end.

well thats different then.

Mines is the Bollywood movie called Devdas its so sad most of you wouldn't have seen it lol

Anakin at the end of EP III
when Kevin Kline died at the life as a house
Dead poets society
Braveheart

Well, if you are a fan of Star Wars, Anankin "died" at the end of episode three and Darth Vader was born.

...

Anakin "died" When he cut Mace's arm off and Sideous named him "Darth Vader". ermm

I'm gonna have to say...Smith in "In Cold Blood". Very different approach to death.

Frodo was dieing that is why he went to the grey havens.

Bilbo was. Frodo just joined him.

Alpha dog was pretty sad

That dog in "I Am Legend." Sam.

...not that dogs are more tragic...just that that particular one was just heartwrenching.

well yeah, if you are a kid, I can see that.

thats what I will NEVER be able to understand about people crying about E.T. almost dying.I mean geez at LEAST I was just a kid when i cried about bambi but many ADULTS cired over E.T. a fake puppet!!!! 🙄 I was not at all moved by that movie and not touched at all and usually I get into movies more so than most people do and those things really get to me but E.T. dying,a fake puppet>i just dont get how an ADULT can get all teary eyed over that.sheesh.

I was the only kid in my block that wanted to punch E.T. so badly back in the 80's.

got to agree, it was a very well done scene...

I'm not sure about the saddest, but one of the most surprising I've seen was Leonardo DiCaprio in The Departed. So sudden and unexpected.

I watched the movie again yesterday.. .and I almost cried 🙁 again.

It was bad enough with it just dying but then he was like "C'mon Samantha!" And I was like "noeeeezzzz it's a girl!" And it made me sad.

I did cry a tear or two though in the movie theaters when I saw it, not from that, but afterwords when he was talking to the dummy in the video store after Sam died and was like "... please say hello to me 🙁 "

Yeah. I'm manly.

So you concede my point and I win?

Yes, I do think you'd look better if you wore your hair down.

I thought of one. Even though it wasn't an onscreen death, I did get choked up when Will Smith describes the reason he hates robots so much in I, Robot. Very sad story.
