Britney cannot sing all that well, the fact that she has to lipsynch at her concerts shows that she has to hide a voice that is heavily modified during the post production of her albums.
Britney can't act, she proved that with an embarassing performance.
Britney is not ugly, but she is not exceedingly attractive. Take away the make up crew, the soft focus photography, the entourage of stylists and you are left with a mediocre looking woman.
Britney is not all that smart. She continues to make disasterous career moves and sounds like a complete mental midget .
Britney was a product of a corporate promotion of telling kids what they wanted to hear and then selling them a prepackaged product.
Sorry, but that's just the facts. If you like her fine, if you like her music that's fine too, but once you get older and develope more mature tastes and an appreciation for artistry in music you'f stop listening to Britney Spears.

No, I was thnking of perhaps someone with talent.And maturing doesn't mean you have to like the music that your parents do. There are plenty of talented musicians out there, Britney is just not one of them.
but yeah...i do get where you're coming from - i used to listen to a lot of rap music and nothing else, now i've pretty much like listening to bands like coldplay, simple mind, sh*t i've even bought...er anyways
