Britney Spears

Sorry, but that's just the facts. If you like her fine, if you like her music that's fine too, but once you get older and develope more mature tastes and an appreciation for artistry in music you'f stop listening to Britney Spears. [/B][/QUOTE]

Excuse me, but don't insult me. My appreciation of Britney Spears has NOTHING to do with my age, but a lot to do with loyalty. I have liked her since day one, and I remain true to what I like. For example, my favourite actor has been my favourite actor since I was three years old. I can stand back and make honest remarks about the fact that Britney HAS in a lot of ways become less of the person she could have been, I preferred her as a person back in her younger and sweeter days, and yes she does make some choices that damage her reputation and her career. But that does not give me, you or anyone else the right to start slagging her off. I don't like people who slag other people off. Is that ok with you? Or do I still need to get a little older and wiser?

whoah....dudette

i may not be a fan....but i do think she can sing - a lot better than some and she is hot...hey, i'm a dude...her brand of music is not my taste although i do like her version of Joan Jett's 'I love Rock'n Roll'....

but i wouldn't say anything bad about her, 'cept her taste in fuloosers....

So let me get this right, you haven't changed your opinion regarding who is your favourite actor since you were three? That's ridiculous! IF your personal tastes and likes have not changed or matured since the age of three you are going to look ridiculous going to university in footsie pajamas with a soother in your mouth.

Loyalty to what? DO you think she gives a rat's ass if you are loyal to her? Loyalty is earned, and if I were you I would value my loyalty much more than to give it away to a celebrity who no one will remember in 10 years.

And as for having the right to slag her talent (or lack thereof), when one puts themselves in the public eye and makes a liveing out of dancing, acting and singing, one should be prepared to recieve criticism for the lack of ability displayed in her dancing, acting and singing. Her personal life, I don't care about, her media and corporate fostered career however I feel is a joke. A sad joke, but a joke nonetheless.

Let's hope she's already had to go through this pain. She's 25.

but i do gotta give her this tho - i for one cannot remember who it was i liked at three

simply put....that is amazing

I have been a fan of Brit seen day 1 and see am a fan

Anyone who liked Britney Spears when they were three years old is probably, at the most, eleven years old and shouldn't even be on KMC.

I didn't say I liked Britney at the age of three? She didn't appear until I was eighteen.

You can thank my mother for that one; she clearly remembers the day I first laid eyes on the actor in question, and I was allegedly three years old.

Thanks sweetie, and I honestly appreciate the advice, however, you aren't me, and I shall dispense my loyalty where I feel it is deserved. 😄

Is that you on the right in that picture? 'Cause it kind of looks like Melissa Joan Hart with some weird perm going on.

hysterical
Nope, that is Melissa Joan Hart with a weird perm going on. Must confess, I'd never noticed that before, but yes, that is a very weird perm!!!

well memory like that: pity the poor guy that forgets one tiny little detail and i'm sure he'll get more than he bargained for what with that kind of memory.....

still don't like her music, but better than jlo's

Yep, my mum doesn't forget much, and don't I know it!

Brit's music is definately an aquired taste. She's kind of like marmite really. You either love her or you hate her!

Except for marmite has actually nutrional value whereas Britney is void of anything of value (i.e. talent).

And she is not an aquired taste, she's a manufactured product designed to be consumed by the masses. It's the "disposable entertainer" theory of entertainment marketing that has brought us such gems as the New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys, the Spice Girlsand all the other girl and boy bands that pollute the airways.

cry
how can you say that about NKOB....*sniffle*

Hey, he called them a gem, did he not?

cry but it sounded *sniffles* so sarcastic

Trust me, it's not. And I'm not. Actually, I sent KharmaDog this T-shirt for his birthday. I hated to part with it but I wanted to be generous. That's me wearing it with pride.
