LOL
Well, anyone who has been on this Board as long as I have will remember that once upon a time, I was a totally faithful follower of Britney Spears. I adored her. I thought there was nothing she could do wrong.
Over the past two years, I have watched my absolute idol become a complete train wreck, thanks to the abuse of drugs and alcohol. Her relatively sweet and grounded personality became that of a selfish, self obsessed diva, who firmly believes that the Media follow her every movement because the World is in love with her. Maybe those signs were always there for people to see, and I was just too blind by the marketing creation that was Spears to notice. But the blinders came off a long time ago. I do not accep that a divorce drove her into a complete meltdown. I have been through a divorce. At the end of the day, we all face a crossroads at some point in our lives, and we are all given a choice.
Blackout, in my opinion, is yet another cheap marketing scam which betrays the real fans of Britney Spears. This is not her music. This is a direction she chose to take purely because she knew it would sell. It doesn't sound any different from the crap spilled out constantly by Pharrell and co.
Darklordcaedus, I'm glad that you like Blackout, I really am. But please be sure that you like it for it's own merits, and not because it is a product of Britney Spears.
