"Britney Spears reportedly wants to call her baby Charlie - after the character in Roald Dahl's book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Britney is expecting her first child in October with husband Kevin Federline.
Britney attended the US premiere of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory a few weeks ago and thinks the name would be great for a boy or a girl.
Kevin doesn't share Britney's enthusiasm for the name and is said to be keen on the name Kevin Junior reports ITV.com.
Britney has also said that she would like to get a tattoo of the child's name.
She said: "I like the idea of the moment being captured forever".

To be honest I cringed after reading each line in the above post. I thought the next line would be better, but it was twice as worse. It finally spiralled down so far that the only thing that saved me was Britrogue's farewell.

I saw on AOL that Britney's photographer was shot. Does this mean shot by a camera? I didn't read the story because I assumed the obvious, which was that someone took his picture.

"COULD Britney Spears soon be singing "Slap My Baby One More Time" on national television?

The Star says that if Kevin Federline has his way, Britney will give birth on live TV this October.

With Britney pregnant, hasn't he had his way one too many times already?

"Kevin thinks that a two part special in which Britney goes into labor and subsequently delivers would draw viewers," a source tells the Star's OB/GYN desk.

In this relationship, however, Britney's the sensible one.

"Britney told me it wouldn't be Kevin screaming and crying out in pain on TV," says a friend. "She said giving birth should be a very private thing for just Kevin and her to share, and that she's not sure she wants the whole world looking on."

"A photographer was shot in the leg with a BB gun outside a home where he believed Britney Spears was attending a bridal shower Saturday evening, authorities said.
It was unclear who fired the BB as the photographer was staking out the event at the Malibu home, sheriff's Lt. Steve Smith said. He said firefighters bandaged the man's leg and he went to a hospital.

"It could've been somebody driving by, walking by, we have no idea where it came from," Smith said.

The photographer, identified as Brad Diaz, was about 200 yards from the home outside the home's long driveway when he was hit, Smith said. He was one of about 10 photographers standing in the street.

Smith originally said the home belonged to Spears, but said deputies later learned that it belonged to someone else and that Spears is a frequent guest. He did not identify the owner. "

He says, "I am convinced the shot came from Britney Spears' security guards. I can't believe it, I was on a public street.

On a scale of 1 to 10 the pain is 7 from a BB gun? I wonder how much the pain factor would be if he was shot by a real gun? Or if he got a broken leg we might be talking a 23 out of 10 on the pain scale.

So Britney doesn't have security dogs (or wolves) surrounding the place? Tsk, Tsk, that's just not the way to run an operation. She should trade in her BB-firing Protectors of Pop for some bloodthirsty Demon Hellhounds.

I'll tell you one thing right now. I can watch horror movie after horror movie depicting people getting bludgeoned to death and decapitated and all that sh*t, but I cannot, for the life of me, watch more than 5 seconds of that channel on TV that shows people giving birth! puke

If you ask me, Diaz probably set the incident up himself for either publicity, money, or both. I just found this on another site.

"If there's anything below minor, that's what the injury was," Lieutenant Steve Smith of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said of Diaz's injury.

I'm with you on that one. I was my best friend's birthing partner, and I can honestly say, it's not as "beautiful" as some people make out. I found it all rather frightening and it put me off childbirth for life! Let's hope that this rumour is true and that Brit will stick to her guns. "No Kevin, you sick little individual, I do not wish to traumatise my fans for life."
