The OFFICIAL "For those who've seen Revolutions"
As I promised you, here's the official, stuck at the top thread, for the legions of us, who made it to zero hours today.
I thought “The Matrix Revolutions” was a brilliant end to the trilogy.
Although I wept my eyes out when Trinity died (twice actually, as I saw it twice today), but she had to. If not Neo wouldn’t have sacrificed his life to save mankind.
I must admit that we actually DID manage to figure out a few things (and the actual quote “cookies need love too” was as written into the movie JUST for the cookie-freak around here), some things we did over analyse, and some things were not important.
So: the TWINS were not in Revolutions.
The mother WAS truly the Oracle.
Neo stopped the Sentinels because of his connection to the source of the anomaly, and ended up at Mobil Ave, because using the full power of the anomaly should’ve killed him.
And Smith actually did capture Trinity and try to use her against Neo, although NOT Smith in the way we’d thought it would be.
The open questions as I see them:
Who WERE the Merovingian and Persephone really?
IS Neo really dead? Or did he become One with the Matrix? I was wrong. I guessed the anomaly would die, and Neo would survive. It seems it was the other way around. Or was it?
And if Neo survived by passing Mobil Ave, could a trace of Trinity still be inside the Matrix? Is that the bait for The Matrix Online?
