Wolverine

I think there's a bit of confusion with many fans because he has not yet "officialy" signed, but it's pretty much a definite, as Fox has already stated that they won't do a movie without him. He only says to the press it's not "definite" to give himself leverage while negotiating a contract, I think.

I think sites like this are the sources of the stories/rumors: (delete the space after "http:// " because KMC wouldn't let me post the links otherwise).

Read the "Wolverine note" on this site:

I think, that they shouldn't change main character-actor...
but... i really don't know..
are they really doing the movie without him????

Hugh Jackman is going to be Wolverine in X-Men 3, unless they have two Wolverine solo films in the works. That's his contract.
I'm glad it's him, only because I fear someone else would be even worse.
How can you think that the X-Men animated series' Wolverine is less a Wolverine than in the movies? You must not be a fan of the comics. That show gave the character a decent, if cleaned-up portrayal. I also don't understand how you can prefer Evolution over the original series. Must be an age difference here. The only thing about that show that is even forgivable is that Wolverine's mentoring side is shown in ways that were passed over in the original series. That doesn't make it better overall, and it's a terrible show aimed at children who don't wonder why the kids live in a school, yet attend a public one. Anyone here think that's a little stupid? That's just one of the many things wrong with Evolution.

I like evo very much.. 😍
but i've never manage to watch the old cartoon... :/
the movie is a little bit annoying.. but i like it too

I remember being a kid and watching the original X-Men series back in its heyday and, in my opinion, the X-Men Evolution show doesn't (or didn't rather) compare. The Wolverine of the original animated series was so much cooler, and truer to the character in the comics. The original X-Men seemed to have a lot more depth; in fact, it was the original show that turned me onto the comics and everything else. I remeber watching it and wishing I could be Wolverine. They should replay the original show, the animation would probably seem a little dated but the content would more than make up for it. The original series also touched on many more storylines with much more accuracy than did the Evolution show. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying that Evolution was bad at all, I really did enjoy watching it - it was just a bit too childish.
Anyway, the original reason I started this reply was to say that Hugh Jackman always reminded me of the Wolverine of the original animated series, and I thought that was pretty cool.

I get the original show!! Its on every day in England!! Hugh rocks as wolvie and this thread is a load of crap cus the producers have said hundreds of times that they wouldn't even consider doing an X men movie without Hugh Jackman. I think this thread is done 😄

I think that he should be on the 3rd movie because if they change him the movie would loose quality; and it would seem pointless (at least to me) to watch it.

New info: It apears that Hugh has signed....I for one am relieved!

no jackman?! o.O *has a heart attack*

Do you speak English as a first language?

Anyway, that rumor is disproved. Jackson will be in X3.

well that scared me bad enough and don't insult his language

JACKSON!?!?!?! OMG 😂

JackMAN, is coming back for X3 😄

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! just imagined MJ with claws... SCARY....

😆

how do you know jackman come back for x 3

Hugh Jackman IS coming back for X3. It's 100% certain. It's a definite, it's guaranteed. Look it up on the internet. The producers and the director have already stated flat out that they won't make the movie without Jackman, so the question "who will replace Jackman" is a non-question. It's either X3 with Jackman, or no X3 at all.
The claim that Jackman was NOT coming back to X3 was just a RUMOR. His publicists purposely left it as a "grey area" only to give Jackman leverage when renegotiating his X-Men X3 contract.

Yay!!! he will be back, he will be back!!!!! 😊

😄 MY HUGH CLONE 😍 HANDS OFF OR ELSE!! 😒:

Since no one is posting any pics I'll post one.

Hi Herr logan, i was watching the discussion and decided to say something. Basically your right, it really wouldn't hurt if they put Wolvie a little taller, wouldn't cost too much, just a little cam work and minimun special effects. But I think that what Kes and eristole were trying to say (if they haven't already said) is that it doesn't affect the quality of the film at all. We also must remember that the first film was made in hurries, Fox wanted it fast and Bryan worked hard to put all the visual effects in few weeks. I'm not sure if he ever cared about his height, but we must consider that there wasn't too much time to make a perfect film, if that's possible. I also think he was more interested in show the personalities of the characters than their powers/bodies. Otherwise Rogue would have flight and strenght and would be played by a beautiful model without any acting skills instead of Anna who is a great actress but doesn't have the body/height/beauty required for such a character. As Bryan said once, the first film was to present the characters, the second one has a story. But then, why didn't he put Logan smaller in the second one? Would you really like a character that is the tallest X-men become waay smaller in a few weeks(the time from the first film to the second)? I think it would be a lame. The truth is that few people care about his height if the character is played magisterially and if we believe it's Logan onscreen as the most people felt. Of course it would be fine to watch Rogue calling him Shorty, but then it would require a lot of special effects. We better have good actors/actresses playing the characters than models that fit the body but don't get to pass the message of the X-men. All the actors were fine, although many people complain about Cike and Storm. If they tried to cry with sunglasses and say stupid lines they would see that the problem isn't the actors chosen for the role. Hugh Jackman got to catch Logan's soul and pass it to the movies, what is more important for a film than to catch the body of the character, don't you think so?
In sum, i think it was all a question of time. If Bryan ever cared about Logan's height, there wasn't time enough to make it work coz the first film was made in hurries. Therefore, they couldn't put him smaller in the second one, or it would look like unbelievable. Every movie has flaws, but this is not one, really, coz it doesn't affect the film anytime.
