i cannot....for the god damned life of me...get a hold of this game from anywhere...sold out everywhere in town...virgin...hmv...game...even all the superstores and electrical stores on the outskirts of town are sold out

i believe that girl you have to rescue in it got direct character influence from heather from silent hill 3, i made a picture.

resemblance no? you cant see it so well in that pic, but heather also has a bright orange big collar jumper on.

The knife fight between leon and krauser is the one of the best things i have seen in a video game.

at last, us PS2 owners will get a chance to play this october, huzzah!

Yeah, but the graphics are probably not as good as the GC's version. Especially in this game were graphics make a huge part of the game.

looking at the magazine shots, it doesnt actually look that bad.

Really, its almost impossible to be as good as the GC's version unless the GC's version was totally programmed to its fullest.
Screenshots are always lacklustre, they dont show some of the details that could be around. For example, the textures could be somewhat blurry in the background.

yeah thats very true, and it wont be as good as GC because of hardware, but to me, if the background textures are a bit blurry, it wont bother me, the gameplay should be the same, so thats the main thing.

I love the fact that its not just a normal cut-scene and you have to press buttons at crucial moments, have you seen the knife go into Leon's cavity yet?

I, personally think this is one of the most atmospheric and well designed games ever, even more so than Doom 3! (I have that on X-Box too.)

I went out and brought a GameCube just to play this game, and if anyone else is considering doing the same, I say this;

Yeah defintily, the gameplay will be same but the graphics are part of the gameplay too, so it wont be as enjoyable, but still highly enjoyable.

one day i might have some spare cash, so i can buy a cheap cube and RE4.

I just played the demo in Future Shop. Imagine my frustration when the game simply froze while I was in the middle of freeing the white wolf.

And I found our real-life counterpart to Leon Kennedy, they look imcredibly similar. It's actually "Josh" from the Air Bud series.

Magazine photos, and the photos the companies send directly to video game sites, ie Gamespot, are all high-res shots, the shots added AFTER the game is out, is from the game site themselves, and you can see the poorness in graphics later on.

Capcom has already said their having trouble porting RE4 to ps2, they had to cut Leon's pixel total in HALF, from 10,000 to 5,000 for starters. The overall database is bigger on the DVD-Rom discs, but now for graphical quality, so it will be interesting to see how it turns out on the Ps2. I'm sure they will add areas and such to try to make GC owners buy it, but I'm not convinced, and think Capcom had this planned all along anyway, ever since the Re-RE-birth of RE4.

They probably did it on purpose so that people WOULD assume something, for all we know Konami & Capcom are buddy-buddy with ideas and such.

The Director and Producers dont like the idea of porting the game to the Ps2.

The mag I was reading didnt tell me its just says that they dont like to.

They must be saying that so that more people will buy the GC version then. Why wouldn't they like the idea of MORE MONEY? 🙄 RE4 on GC in the US is selling like absolute s***, announcing the port so soon was absolutely stupid on Capcom's part, and they better hope Outbreak:File #2 helps them for all the money they lost until next fall, they will be getting my $50, and $15 for the guide, but that's it until the next RE game.
