Revan snarls at Jedi, and calls his saber back to his hand. "Oh screw it" he said and uses force choke on him

"You will never know the power *closes fist like Vader in ESB* of the dark side!"

*starts laughing at Revan, then uses force pull to break off huge chunk of the building behind Revan and move it into a trajectory right into Revan* You will never succeed, for you are...SCUM!!!

I'm sorry to hear that you like it, but thanx for not trying to shove that opinion upon us. No offense to you (because I can only speculate the reasons you did not like the movie), I just think that the public is not used to the format that second two of this trilogy was in. A lot of people seem to want a cookie cutter shaped movie with a definate start and a definate finish with all the elements of character and plot building within each movie, and this one was written to span three movies, where the character and plot developement was only in the first two, and the climax and conclusion in the last. I can understand there being disappointments from different expectations. But hey, I loved it, and that's that. If you didn't, I really am sorry, because I can only imagin how unfulfilling it is to be let down like that.

m1 good
m2 ok
m3 waste of time

I feel for all of you who think this is great scifi. The doesn't rank near the classics like the day the erath stood still, aliens, star wars, blade runner and others. This ranked with armegedon, and not as good. hollywood attempt to make more money instead of a better movie.

No suprise that they released it world wide. They were afraid the message would get out. Even Mr. Reeves new it sucked, he took a flat salary over points.

You know they will have sequels and spinoff movies

It all about the DOLLAR. I am ashamed to say i wastes all that time analyzing the movie.

Im gonna have to agree on the fact that all this could have been done in the second one....but then again, what would you put in the third one?! just wandering here, not starting a nasty argument....would you have rather have the totally closed ending..with everything resolved and all questions answered....or would you have left it open for some more films to be made...?

I like it the way they did it. With some things still left open

yeah...thats what im thinking as well.... but id like to see more matrix movies...

yeah i agree. with the movies being rewarding. They give you a sense of fantasictal adventure that has been absent in movies and books for a long time. Not to mention the thoughts they provoke. I truly dont know where people got the idea for an MWAM. I mean the brothers care so much about these movies, and about how the fans will accept them. im angered at just the idea of a mwam. That would make the entire story pointless. you would have to ask yourself why the previous two were made. If an MWAM was introduced into the story. This is just proof of how so many people give somthing meaning that was never intended

Down to the defeat of agent smith, everything was carefully maticulated into perfection. Alot of movie makers care about the story there telling, but they rarely go the extra mile to give it style, and substance. Everyone involved with these movies cared about what they were working on. It is very apparent. Especially with all the little things the brothers incoorperated with. Like the names of characters and the dialogue they use which refers to certain philosophers. This is just one of a thousand little things waiting for your discovery Its a perfect circle with many circles within itself that offer great entertainment. All you have to do is open your mind a bit.

Fantastical indeed! All the details layed out very thoroughly, with hidden meanings to allow you to choose what you take from it. The depth of the movies seem almost infinate.

The idea for MWAM came from occum's razor, though many do not realize this is how they came up with it. It was the simplest solution to the question: "How did Neo stop the sentinals at the end of Reloaded?"

However, that's looking at the movie with to narrow of a focus, and, though it was my first thought when I saw that scene in the theater, I quickly discredited it because, as a whole, the occum's razor theory would not hold up with that being the solution, since nobody would have been able to release them from an infinite tunnel of Matricies built upon matricies. MWAM creates a never ending paradox where-in you would inevitably give up never knowing if each new reality was real.

As for your last statement -- that is the entirety of the trilogy!! Free your mind. 🙂

i wish death on the person who started this thread... well not really but go watch Jackass or something... you will fit right in.

Thanks Metamorphisis. 🙂

No problem. If I might suggest, there are two books about philosophy and sociology upon which the matrix trilogy is built -- maybe you would enjoy reading them and thus find satisfaction in the trilogy?

The books are Simulucra and Simulation by James Ballaurd and Meditations By Rene Descartes.

Other things that can be useful include theological studies, Jap Anime, easter philosophy (Such as budhism and the Toa) There is a lot of sybolism, things like the purple blindfold Neo wears in Revo, all the characters names, etc...

It's up to you whether or not you wish to pursue these possibilities, and I can't garentee that you would find any more meaning in the movies, but I do feel it might help with seeing something that maybe you do not see?

"I can only show you the door; you have to walk through it." LoL 🙂

meta> i am currently reading Simulacra and Simulation, and i think you would only need to read the chapter on "Precession of Simulacra" and "On nihilism"...the rest doesn't seem pertinent, to me at least...

vvvrulz.. you said revolutions was a clash of contrasting idea's. What exactly do you mean by this? I mean the contrasting idea's are the idea's the audience makes up in there mind. Of course the brothers left alot to be questioned in reloaded, but revolutions is the second half of reloaded. It is just an end to a story that was in motion. I think the reason for reloaded was to give meaning, then revolutions was to confirm and give substance to the meaning in reloaded. I just dont know what you mean as contrasting idea's. If you mean contrastng possibilities, I still cant see how it would be a bad thing. I mean isnt the fact that it provoked you to manifest so many possibilities and meanings that were never even intended a great achievment on it's own? how many movies do that. It put you in the story in a sense.

This is what i hated about M3

Most of the movie was fluff. No real reason to have the third. Nothing new was introduced that was more than 20 minutes worth of material. Not the ending of the third one that is bad, just the 90 minutes of crap they put around it.
A good sci-fi must first be dedicate to telling the story. Not trying to make more money. The idea of a trilogy is three storyies in one. M2 and M3 are the same story cut in half to sell more tickets. When you add in animatrix and ETM, you see the real reason they wanted a trilogy.
People say Forest Gump was too long, but imagine if they had stopped the movie when forest got out the army and then had forest gump 2 for the second half. We would have said it was nothing new.
Thats my point in M3. There was nothing new. Smith and neo fighting for no reason when they know they can't kill each other.
The oracle and her VAGUE answers. Trinity and Neo in there Romeo and Juliet romance as i said earlier. What was new. Nothing. Any new plots? NO! Any new Story? No! Anything remotely original about the movie? NO! NO! HELL NO!

It was all about making more money. Don't get me wrong, i love money and they should keep that in mind when making a movie. But this was real fked up.

And we get the movie and all it's hidden meanings. Just don't like it. If we suppose to like the movie just cause we get it, ithen i would love crappy movie that come on all day on cable.

This movie is destine for mystery science theatre.

It was not the story that made the movie suck, but the way it was told.

Revan senses the wall coming towards him and easily force jumps over it. He keeps it moving and hurls it at Jedi.
"Fool. You cannot destroy me.. you call me scum but in doing so you are scum yourself! Or so your equally foolish council would say."

You know I dont have a problem with ppl who say they enjoy it, I have a problem with the ppl who will not leave ppl alone who say they did not enjoy it.

If you notice when someone says they did not like it BAM! some ppl are all over them. This last movie did not please everybody and you will see as time passes by that the majority will be ppl unhappy with something or another in the movie.

I think this should be done from now on, all the ppl who say they disliked the movie simply state why you did, and all the ppl ready to reply just try replying without saying "you dont get it" or "you have to ge deeper". Just discuss the points that were not liked and why you liked them.

sucky sucky long time. 130 minutes of sucky sucky movie.
