Holy shi-ite!
I just stepped out of the cinema after being totally blown away.
Everything i wanted and more! Must've "ahhh'd" about 40 times
during the film, all the little questions being answered.
Great little nods to Enter The Matrix and Animatrix, too.
You see the Tastee Wheat sign on Mobil Ave?. For you, Mouse, for you...
But the strangest thing happened on the way out of the theatre.
After catching my breath, and with a sense of completion, i throw on my jacket and stroll outside to a buzzing Union Square, (NYC) watch as the masses of 'plugged-ins' scatter about their daily routines, reach for my sunglasses, and proceed to make a phone call to tell others about the phenomenon. Then i thought....."what the hell am i doing? I feel like im in the Matrix"...If i had heard Rage Against The Machine at that point, i might have tried to fly...
Oh wait, i am flying.
Next stop...Imax!!!!
Back on topic, it could be possible for the Matrix to happen in the future if events continue on their current course. For anyone who saw A.I., they would know that robots, especially Android were being produced to fill the worker shortage. Now concider this, we are trying to make robots so smart and lifelike, that they can respond to us. See some similarities between the two movies and our world. I also read that Eurpoean popualtions are decreasing at a dangerous rate that would half the world pop by 2100. It could be possible that androids would be built to help w/ this problem. Now in AI, the humans tried to destroy the robots and in the Animatrix, humans also tried to destroy the robots. If we were to do this, then, well, u no what will happen...
