Interesting Revolutions Review from Space.com (Spoilers)

Omega> What's your opinion on those agent kidnapping the little boy at the end of second renaissance if that's the real world?

and where's your part 2 review?

The Saviour> The end of Second Renaissance has been a topic of some debate around here. As I see it it’s a small film-trick. We see a small child running around in the ruins of a city, and jump to the conclusion that it is the real world. Forgetting completely that there are many parts of world, which, today, are in ruins after war.
The small child is in the Matrix. The scene where he runs towards his parents happens inside the Matrix, as the end shows clearly, where the child lies in a pod.

Part 2? Didn’t get around to digest all of Revolutions yet. It’ll arrive when I’ve seen it a third time. Hopefully tomorrow.

Thanks Omega... bit still.... I used to think a hell of a lot differently before the movie came out. I mean, the Second Renaissance is apparently made to be shown to a human audience, correct? In the beggining we see that it is from the Zion Archives... and still it glorifies the machines.. it's clearly made to show the humans as being the evil doers. That's strange...who would make a video and show it to humans something that shows the Destroyers of Mankind as the good guy?

I used to think that Zion used to be a place where humans kept some machines (AI). I used to think that we won the war. I used to think that no human would ever blacken the sky in the entire world...we need it, right? So we did it only in 01 (and Trinity makes this very clear when she says that "Temperature is dropping..."😉 there's no sun in 01, right? And still the Second Renaissance shows the entire planet in black smoke! I used to think that humans won the war and to keep the machines on a leash, doing whatever we wanted, we'd simulate a world where They won and we were subordinate. That way, we'd make the assumption that humans made that video to machines (in Zion) to show them human things and one day live in peace again......

What do you think??

Let me know

The Saviour> I’m not entirely sure SR is “THE” truth. Zion’s been destroyed five times (And almost a sixth) but somehow the Zion database survived. Or rather, certain parts of it survived.
But I still think the general picture of SR is correct. Machines evolve and get their own land. Humans can’t accept their progress and start a blockade. Who struck first? Morpheus tells us in M1 that no one knows WHO started it, but it was the humans who scorched the skies. It wouldn’t be enough to just do it over 01, as there were machines everywhere on the world, and the machines could have batteries and simply MOVE.

The temperature is dropping as a blackened sky WILL make the temperature drop on the surface of the Earth. Tank says in M1, that Zion is located below ground, where it’s still warm. And the ENTIRE planet is enveloped in black smoke. Otherwise the machines could simply have moved their city.
The actual SETTING of the Matrix movies is as presented. Humans in pods, machines ruling the world, a virtual world to keep us dormant.

So you just don't believe that all of them could be robots?

And you do agree that Neo is human with a program The One, correct? And what about Morpheus and Trinity? Don't they too have programming in the Matrix (one to find the One and the other to fall in love with him)?

I must say im very disappointed with the reviews for revo in my area
Nothing but old bastards saying it sucked 😠 and didn't live up to the other two.
Thats the bad thing about a trilogy, if the other two are great.....scratch that awesome people grow to expect too much from the third.
I loved the other two and I thought that Revo delivered what I expected😄
I just wish the ending was a little different 🙁 but then again the movie is still awesome 😄

Why did the little boy see the agents? That means that someone who didn't believe in the Matrix was there. Or maybe a bug (like in Beyond).

Omega> that makes sense, cause they show the little boy playing in the rubble, then he runs up to his house, and its still standing and looks like there is nothing wrong with it...so, yeah, that seems right...also, anybody think perhaps the little boy was the first ONE? Perhaps, in the first Matrix, it lasted long enough to create the one, but it kept going downhill, so the agents were sent out to retrieve the ONE before he was even 5, and they reset the matrix that way...

he was on fire... and then he ended up in a pod

i think it just signifies the last innocent free little boy... anime style 😎 but possibly deeper

Did anyone notice that they mispelled Laurence Fishburne's name?

does anyone really care 😛
