I love the first season. The humor is so crude, and the characters are nothing like they are now. I love it! 🙂

I love "Bart the Genious".

Skinner calls in Homer and Marge after Bart defaces the school proporty. Then Skinner pulls out Bart's file.

"He is often absent from school, and gives teachers pathetic forgeries". . . Homer hands Skinner a check and the handwritting is the same 😂

Now that's good comedy

The show was more popular back then (in terms of ratings). The first two or three years it was the most watched show on TV.

Are they really gonna make all the other seasons on DVD? That'd be pretty sweet. Season 3 and 4 is the funniest damn thing I have ever seen.

How about the episode where Burns builds the casino? Marge becomes a gambling junkie, so she's at the casino all night.

Lisa come in Homer's room in the middle of the night and tells him she had a nightmare.

Homer: "Ah, it's okay sweetie, it was just a dream. Now you tell me all about it, it will be okay.

Lisa: "Well, I know it's crazy, but I dreamed the boogy man was. . . "

Homer: "AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! BOOGY MAN!!!! You nail the windows shut! I'll get the gun!!!!!!!!!" 😂 😂

and when Marge comes back home, Homer and the kids are hiding behind the chair

Marge: "What happened here?"

Homer: "Oh, nothing Marge, just a little incident involving the BOOGY MAN! Of course, none of this would have happened if you had been here, to keep me from acting stupid!"

not fair! I need to memorize it all, and you have it on DVD!

No no, my friend. I only have the first season on DVD. But I have all the others on VHS!

I think it would be safe to say that my Simpson video collection is one of my most prize possessions. Think about it, I've been working on it for 11 years. I couln't replace that, ever.

Another great scene of the Casino episode is when the family goes to confront Marge.

Homer: "Marge, I think you need help, because you have a gambling problem"

Marge: "I won $60 last night."

Homer: "WooHoo!! Problem solved!!!!"

Why did I say 11 years? I meant 9. I think. Well . . . I . . .mm, uh. . . I can't remember. 🙁 I'm an idiot.

I think instead of releasing each season sepretaly, they should just put the past seasons in a 1st edition DVD boxset, and then when the show goes off the air, they can put the remaing seasons in a 2nd Edition box set, like they did for The Sopranos 😮‍💨

I'd buy that.

I think the Simpsons is a very moral show.

I think Mod Flander's dying was showing that bad things can happen to good people, yet we still need to hold onto faith.

That is a very funny, and serious natured episode. I really liked it.
