Just remember that the US and UK are 'liberating' the Iraqis and not that they are at war with them. We were at war with Saddam...If the UK hadn't liberated France from the rule of Hitler in 1944, we would undoubtledly live in a different society today.
I don't like war. It would be great if there was never any need of it. But sometimes you can't have peace without having war first.
And, yes, I'm mostly pro-Bush. I don't agree with every little thing about him, but most of it. I'm greatly in favor of the wonderful tax cuts he gave us. Greatly in favor. And everyone thought they would hurt our economy. Pfft! The economy is growing, and those of us who got some tax relief can actually generate more movement in the economy as well!
Gee, if not Bush, just think about the awful alternative....blech!

Muslim extremist, hate our way of life, they will do anything to kill us, they hate us because we support Isreal, and they will stop at nothing until every last one of us is dead.
🤨 please dont tell me that you truly believe that! 🙁
Why would they hate your way of life...they live how they have decided and they like it...
America has been bombing iraq for over 12 years now...if Sadma Hussein has a 'weapons of mass distruction'' i beg you to explain to me, WHY didnt he use them in the space of 15 years of bombing and sanctions imposed by America on iraq to defend himself?
My step-brother has been serving over there as well as my husband's cousin. Some other friends of ours have been there, too. All in different areas, and they all have observed the same thing. Very minimal harm to civilians. Most people are appreciative, and friendly. They express gratitude for us "dethroning" Saddam. All these protestors would feel so differently if they lived under that type of oppression. Can you imagine not having the freedom to say what you think about your country and it's leaders. Do you realize that the statements that so many of you have made just in this thread would have meant your immediate death under Saddam's rule????

Julibug no one's being liberated. You can't just go into someones country bomb the **** out of it and dispose of the leader just because you don't like him, or you think he has weapons of mass destruction, or your country has some bullshit beef against Arab/muslims. If anyone in country has the capacity of independent rational thought would be against this ridiculous war.
As far as evil dictators go, Saddam is by far not the worst!

Of course there is casualties. It's war. But if there was another 9/11, and Bush didn't do anything to take care of it you would be yelling and screaming that it's all his fault, and how could he of let this happen. It is called a pre-emptive strike. Hit them before they hit us.
So if everyone thought like that, you could call 9/11 a pre-emptive strike against the US. Right?
The plight of the Palestinian people at the hands of their own leaders is a disgrace. The leaders are turning five-to-14-year-olds into suicide bombers. They are seeing to it that the youth, the future of the Palestinian people, is blowing itself up. You don't see this being done anywhere else in the civilized world. It's hard to construct a reason for understanding it, because there is no understanding. It doesn't make any sense and it simply cannot be defended.

When the US, and Russia was converging on Berlin in Nazi Germany, Hitler had the "Hitler-Youth", all under 18 fighting in the streets, and Germany is a very civilized nation. Besides the civilized world isn't as civilized as MTV and MSNBC make it appear to be.

No. You couldn't. It was an "Islamic Jihad". They were suicide terrorists. They believe that the US is the devil, and that they will have great rewards in the after life for any destruction that they can bring against us. The terrorist movement had grown to a level that the US was not aware of (thanks Mr. Clinton for cutting back on foreign informants, military, etc.). If Bush hadn't begun the war on terror, we would have continued to be attacked. And who knows who else. I'm sure it wouldn't stop with the US, although we are the prime target for now.
