Should all drugs be legalized?!

The point is, that El-Barto’s argument against legalising drugs is, that everyone would start taking them… well, aside from him, of course. But if HE won’t, then why should everyone else? Silly argument.

Certain harmful drugs are ALREADY legal: Cigarettes and alcohol! These drugs KILL people! That they’re legal do not make people rush to the nearest liquor store and supermarket to get cigarettes and booze galore. Can you SEE this???

Okay, that is a stupid argument. All your ”what if” are fictioninous. You are simply UNWILLING to consider the argumenst we present.

You seem to be missing a point: If people WANT to do drugs, they do them – regardless of whether they’re legal or not. We’ve established, that neither your nor me would start doing drugs, just because they were legal. As I said, I treasure my health and brain-capacity. Why do you think the rest of the world’s population is so stupid, they do not treasure their health and brain-capacity?? And those who don’t, already do drugs – from nicotine over alcohol to heroine.

That’s all society can do. Tell kids about the dangers of drugs, cigarettes and cocaine, alcohol and heroine. If the kids WANT to do drugs, they do it anyways.
Also, consider this: There’s nothing like rebelling against authorities, by smoking illegal pot with friends in some back-yard, because pot is illegal.
If it’s no longer illegal, -snap-, there goes the rebellion against authorities.

I think everyone should atleast TRY pot and/or shroomz once during their life. Both are for the most part "natural" and they broaden your experiences in this life. Now i'm not advocating doing drugs all the time (only i do that), but i think it's an experience that's worth trying out 1 time during your life.

and the reason they are kept ilegal is because the government knows they are NOT safe. And the government are the ones making all these comercails and books about NOT DOING DRUGS. So people listen to the government and they might think "HEY the government made it legal it must be safe!" (an any ways what is the point of legalizing something if ppl are just gonna keep saying "DONT DO THEM" were is the profit in that?)

the appeal of drugs is even greater when they are illegal as is proven by several university studies

problem is legalizing drugs would make the market a lot bigger

how is the apeal greater when they are ileagal do people just think "OH these things are ileagal LETS DO THEM!"

well certainly to children between the age of 12 and 18 things that are forbidden have a greater appeal, I dont exactly know how it works, but it does work. if you want to you can do a few experiments yourself with some younger kids forbid them to play with something really boring and most of them will want to play with it

How would legalizing drugs help?! Sure theres bound to be about lets say 200 gun crimes where people die, but thats like an ant compared to the millions of people who will get overdose. Think about it this way theres about 1.5 billion people in the world out of that about half a billion take drugs. If every one of those drug addicts take drugs more and more then about 1/2 of those will get overdose and die die die die die die i tell you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the real question is who has the right to say what one human should be able to do or not to do with their own body. If it's hurting others well sure step in and stop it but if someone wants to spend their life on the other end of a needle then so be it. The reason why some drugs are illegal has nothing what so ever to do with if they cause harm to the person or not. People making the laws couldn't give a fu#K about your health...would you like fries with that?

All I'm saying is the frustration you seem to display would be lessened if you researched the topic of 'drugs' for yourself and not just babble on like a furby regurgitating the same old 'fear' angle. My friend they don't care about your health, spreading fear about it is easy, for people who don't know anything about it will pick up the fear banner all to quickly and march in tune like yourself.

Ask yourself this question "Who told you what you know and did you make sure they were right before you believed?"

And if you come back with "society tells us drugs are bad" a simple reply that society would have killed you once upon a time for saying the world is round should take care of that angle.
