Yes. It seems the only real argument against legalising all drugs (and taxing them and getting rid of drug-related crimes in the process) is the delusion that we’d ALL become drug-addicts over-night.
You CANNOT make something “go away” by making it illegal. Be it drugs, sex or abortion. It just seeps down into the underworld and becomes the sources of crime.
Think of Prohibition in the states in the 20’s (or 30’s)? Did alcohol go away? Did people stop drinking alcohol?
When Prohibition was lifted, did everyone become alcoholics?
And what crime-group gained immense power because of Prohibition?
Smoking is legal. Is everyone smoking?
What is the reason they don't?
