it's constantly firing he can't stop it so yeah it's basically getting pumped back into his own eyes.

i read somewhere...that his eyes actually open up like a weird portal to an alost infinite energy source and it like..acts as a gateway so when he does his optic thing...it opens this pssage way and this energy flow into our dimension....

that deep...I always thought he just absorb solar energy.

its an alternate universe that defies the laws of physics...

edit: the solar energy he absorbs powers the portal contained in his eyes, the energy that comes through is not solar at all...

so the next time somebody tells you superman can absorb his blasts tell them to piss off...

i think if they do....it'll be for a brief moment....kinda like when gambit had his full potantial....or when xavier could walk...but then something disastrous will happen and he'll revert back...
