well I think EVENTUALY we MIGHT become a multinational society the star trek like society but it will take many many more years or even decades and it will require some huge sacrifices from wealthy nations and it will require an enormous amount of effort from all of us.

Also a common enemy, an alien power orso could help the process.

Or, Canada could just annex the US and I'd be happy. 😛

I really hate using Star Trek for a source of legitimate ideas, but I also feel a visit from a benevolent alien species (like the Vulcans) would unify us...
