You watched that...lol

the beast 1988

Couldnt really find a trailer that captured the essence of the movie...powerful movie before its time. Heres the trailer I think that gave it some justice.

John Q - cause I'm a dad and can feel his pain.

This has always been a bad movie for my family. I received a transplant in 2003, and my dad gave me the organ I needed. So my mom can never watch this film, and even I, who never ever get teary past the state of feeling mildly choked up at a movie, always cry when John Q finally finds the way to give his son a transplant.

But then I'm upset through most of the movie - that the son can't receive a transplant because the odds say that he wouldn't survive even with one. I know the medical system well, and all the red tape is so very frustrating.

Big Fish. I cry every time when he's telling the story to his dad at the end.

Bump.

Any new thoughts?

12 Years a mother ****ing Slave.

Also saw 'her' last night, that one made me cry a bit. Very good.

Really? Hrm, I had heard both were good.

LotR Return of the King

Sam: "I can't carry the ring, but I can carry you" (proceeds to actually carry a limp Frodo)

Everyone needs a friend like Sam

I bumped this because last night I watched The Fly II.

I forgot about the mutated dog scenes and I got really upset at such cruelty.

Dude at the very end of the film got what he deserved.

I can second this.

It's been a very long time since I've seen this film, but I remember what you're talking about and it upset me too.

What Dreams May Come
The Prince of Egypt
City of Angels

Howard's End, The Remains of the Day, Tess of the D'Urbervilles and I did cry a bit at the end of The Return of the King the LOTR finale.

I watched the Notebook the other night and I f***ing cried 😒

Bad marriage and sh*t and probably my injury was maybe troubling me.

Maybe I should see a shrink? 😆 🤣

Eh, it's a sad tale, so nothing wrong with you.

I've seen shrink after the war and also the assault.

I had to do CBT. They reckon I'm alright, but moderate your alcohol intake, as I'm a epileptic and 2 brain injuries.

To this day I can't watch Gran Torino without crying.

The Color Purple makes me cry like I have goddamn ovaries.

The ending of Pan's Labyrinth had me crying, but like a b*tch. It made me cry from a father's perspective.

Pan's Labyrinth is... sad? I never saw it; just saw the creepy monster thing in it from website memes and such.
