The Tiger in the Well by Philip Pullman. Has anybody else who has read the book noticed the inconsistency with Sally's age? I'll show you what I mean.
Page 3. Lines 26 and 27. States that Jim
Taylor, who is twenty, is two or three years
younger than herself, making her twenty-two
or twenty-three.
Page 100. Lines 12 and 13. States that she
first came on the train with Frederick 9
years ago. This occured in the first book,
when she was sixteen. Nine years from that
point would make her twenty-five.
Page 138. News article at the bottom of the
page. States that "Mrs Parrish" - Sally - is
twenty-four.

I've read this book! Someone at school recommended it and we read the first paragraph in our class, I was so intriged as to what was going to happen to Winston that I got the book out the library and read it. It's really good. I'd recommend it too!
