Powers: None (human). However, she was one of Hydra's premier agents, and is a master of both hand-to-hand and armed combat. As Madame Hydra, she took control of Hydra's New York branch. When that didn't work out, she killed the original Viper and took his name, along with control of his group, the Serpent Squad. Viper had possession of the powerful Serpent Crown for a short time, and was also involved with another snake-themed group called the Serpent Society. She often worked with Silver Samurai, but had an alliance with the Red Skull as well. Viper is also a master of poisons, and is immune to almost all toxins. In fact, she uses a poisonous lipstick to give her foes a literal "kiss of death," as she once did to Wolverine. Recently, when the throne of Madripoor was left without an heir, Viper brainwashed many of the women in Logan's life, and had him brought to her to fulfill an old debt. Following his code of giri (honorable debt), Logan agreed to marry Viper. Viper gambled that Logan's respectability in Madripoor (as Patch) would enable her to sieze the throne. She also used him, along with Sabretooth and Shadowcat, to foil both Hydra's and the Hand's attempts to control the island. Viper was then installed as the ruler of Madripoor, at least as long as she remains married to Wolverine. Currently, Viper is the prisoner of Arnim Zola, the Bio-Fanatic, whose plans remain to be seen.
