Gambit
Okay, I have decided to just go ahead and create an official Gambit thread because I can not find one. This is about the character Gambit as in the comics and will allow us to discuss ANYTHING about him since all the other Gambit related threads have to do with movies, actors, X3 and what not. IF this is not okay than I am absolutely sure that Paola will close it, so enough said, lets get on it.
I probably know way too much about this guy Remy LeBeaue so we can get this started with a question which will likely lead on and on into the next thing.

Yep, he could charge a building probably, but it would take a lot from him. He can regulate the charges and that means he can charge something so that it will go GIGANTIC boom or slight boom. He can also stall the charge too, he can make it explode quickly or charge it so it takes a little longer, he can also charge somthing slightly enough so that it does not explode but scares someone.
He's super freakin cool, his powers were much, much stronger in the begining where he could even charge organic matter, did not even need to touch something to charge it, things like that but he had very little control over this magnitude of power and that is when he met Sinister who removed part of his brain in exchange for some favors.
Remy at one point traveled into the past to set some things straight, then he had a brilliant (not really) idea to (in the past) get Sinister to put back that part of his brain (he kept it) and then he traveled back into the present (which is the past now because this was a few years ago) then Gambit was able to touch Rogue (the motive behind this maniac idea) because he could surround himself with the kinetic energy. When they kissed or... whatever... he would shock her. cute huh? of course this did not last long because Gambit could not properly control the power, he thought he would be able too because he was older, more experienced and had Xavier but he inadvertantly burned Storm and I think Rogue in the danger room, made a bunch of accidents.
after Gambit was dumped in the Arctic, (irk, freakin X Men, BAD Rogue) Gambit somewhere met this guy who called himself New Son, I'm not really sure what went on, I'm sure I'll get back here and explain it sometime once I do some research, but New Son helped Gambit somehow and Gambit really liked this guy because he had all these great dreams of peace kind of like Xavier, so typical Gambit got himself in New Sons debt, agreed to help him and stole for him. He stole items from Sinister's labs, he didn't really understand why, but he really trusted this guy. Anyways, later on Gambit gets back with the X Men and he does not tell them about all the crap he went through after being abandoned and so does not mention New Son even though he would sometimes go off and help him aquire something.
Eventually the X Men find out about New Son and some big things went into play, New Son appearred to be ill intentioned (I think he was trying to kill Gambit or something) and then they finally figure out that New Son is not New SON but New SUN. He got this name because he is the future Gambit with his entire brain and his full power, New Sun was so powerful that he accidently burned the entire Earth and killed every living thing but himself, so he went back in time to keep himself from killing the world. Gambit went back into time (I think, or he had Beast do it) anyhow, he simply removed that part of his brain again and became old, ordinary Gambit and New Sun went away happy. Interesting huh?
