Bit tricky to get to those advanced premieres.
I am going to watch it with my father, who has not seen a film at the cinema in about 20 years. He can't make the release date so I am seeing it on the 20th.
I understand it still hasn't addressed the problem of accessibility to those who have not read the book. But what it has got right outweighs what it has gotten wrong.
I couldn't get a ticket.

unfortunately I'm going to a place right outside Oslo on Friday and return home as late as january. I probably won't have any time to go see it in christmas, and if so I won't get to see it until next year!! I say 'let's cut the christmas and go watch LOTR', but does anyone agree? nooo.
I saw a 5 minute long video with footage from the film, and the song 'May it Be' and to me, everything seems perfect about this film. now I haven't seen it, but from what I have seen and heard it's supreme.
what I really wanted to say is that the soundtrack from the film is supreme! the instrumental tracks are magnificent, but what really stands out in my opinion are the tracks with vocals (enya). the lyrics on most songs are both elvish and english, and also the choirs singing in dwarfish and in black language(the language of the ringwraiths) and it sounds magic! top quality!
