Episode I? I want Episode VII!

the story is good, it's the only story you could expect from Episode I, as said before, an intro. the fact that he managed to put so much exiting stuff in there is great.

TPM is an action-filled, fast and good intro to the things that will happen with anakin.

I forgot who it was, but back in like 1995 this old guy who was a very close friend of GL said that the new SW movie was going to revolve around a tax dispute, and that he thought that the story was boaring! Well the dude was right!

you keep mentioning the trade dispute over and over, i don't know why, the important was that there was a good vs. evil thing, and as mentioned a hundred times before it was an INTRO TO ANAKINS DARK PATH.

He doesn't have to change his mind. If he doesn't like the film then fine. I love it!

And Tomacco, I don't think anyone would "still follow the films, no matter what he puts out". If Lucas pandered to the fan boys then I'd stop watching.

As far as I'm concerned TPM was a great movie. I wish people would stop lying about it though.🙁

I'll give you one thing: Star Wars was a good movie as a part of the whole series. But as an individual movie, it stunk. A lot of people liked it because they knew how things would turn out in the very end.

If The Phantom Menace was the first Star Wars movie ever made, it would be on the shelf next to Lepricauhn 5.

Even though TPM was a personal dissapointment still thought it was better than a lot of the crappy SW novels out there shadows of the empire was the only interesting one

i understand what you're saying, but i think it had the SW-touch to it that it needed.

it seems that you have changed your mind a bit about the upcoming SW-films , you seem very positive about the 2nd trailer, maybe GL has still 'got it' or what?🙄

King Jedi, I probably come off as a pesimest to you. I really do hope that II and III will be better. But I don't think they will be. I'll still go see them, of course.

It's just my opinion. I guess I'm hoping that it will be better than my expectations, so I will be surprised. I guess we'll see though.

I guess no matter how the next two are, it will be good to see how it all happened. The OT will always be in a league of it's own, in my mind.

if you don't want to be marked as a pessimist you shouldn't say that the OT will be in a league of it's own, before you have seen II and III. YOU CAN'T KNOW THAT IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIES!
this is what I talked about for some time ago, people going into the theater determined that the film is not as good as the OT's, then it will be bad.

I agree. If you think it's not going to be as good as the OT then it won't because it's not trying to be. These are different movies. Just the second part in a twelve hour film.😄

Who thought that Captain Panaka guy was a real prick? I hated him, always being so serious, no personality what so ever! Thank god he's not coming back!🙄
