I liked him. He was the only one who stood up to the Jedi. I wish he'd kept his normal accent though.

Towards the end of the movie when Padme and Panaka use those guys to catapult to the upper leve of the palace, Panaka kicks Padme in the leg, watch it and you will see, what a prick🙄 🤣

Mind you, Panaka was clearly portrayed as being wrong for disagreeing with the Jedi. Qui-Gon, at least, was a man who knew what he was doing.
