i have a cute little dog named suzy.

My dad doesn't want to put a fence up so we may have to put up an electrical fence.

Surely thats still a fence though eh? 😕

nah, just a sort of door

I never had any pets and I doubt I'll ever will... I like animals but... when they die, the loss is too big.

{I understand. I have been through the loss too many times.}

Better to have loved and lost etc...

but the time they spend with you is great

Depends what you lose. So what is it that it is better to have lost?

{Hmmmm.....}

The phrase is (I think!)...

"Better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all."

Does anyone know the origin of that?

british? 😛

Nah too stupid for British, sounds Flemish.

mostlikely wallon

Depends what you lose.

Exactly. 😄 And the less you lose the better.

I like that quote... But I have no idea of its origin.

I have a wondercat named Kenan. She does parties in her spare time.

I should think the phrase IS British... It's the kinda thing we say...

Other British things that can be considered stupid...

"Come back with your shield or on it." (Meaning, come back from war the victor, or dead.)

"Worse things happen at sea." (stop complaining!)

What other phrases do u think are stupid?
