The phrase is (I think!)...

"Better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all."

Does anyone know the origin of that?

Shakespeare.

and he "invented" it all by himself?

[Perhaps Yerssot is suggesting he helped him write it and wants recognition for it]

That's Greek. Spartan mothers told it to their sons when they set off for war. 😛
(In Greek it's: i tan i epi tas)

Kan't ya kill a highlander person thingy by cuttin their head off?

yes.

Yes that is the only way an Immortal can truly die in the series Highlander. And Methos is the longest living Immortal in that series and friends with Duncan McCleod.

Ah come on, Mutant.....I can't believe Max is ugly. Remember, he loves you unconditionally !! 😄

Ugly dogs do exist but they make up for it when they love on you when you're sad.

There is no such thing as an ugly dog. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.

those pug dogs are ugly

Not to me they aren't.

OK, so they're kind of cute the way they look like they smashed their faces up against a wall. I'll give you that one.

I like cats, dogs, birds, fish, squirrels, etc. 😄

I like horses, Beta fish (my grandmother has the longest living Beta fish in the history of the world), dogs, dolphins, whales, sharks (I don't want to pet one they're just cool), birds, primates and of course those lovable half mammals, mermaids.
