That's an utterly random comment, but I LOVE that movie ✅ My friend and I made our physics teacher let us watch it last year in class, heh!

Ok, now think back about the movie, and the Matrix game....

Well, for example, no-one would really translate 'pomme de terre' as 'apple of the earth', would they?

This is not as bad as that but the use is probably (I say probably as I am no language expert) a little colloquial. Something Rex said earlier seemed to be close to that bit, though.

And I can fill you in about Dr. Strangelove but that would be telling...
