USH'S MATRIX GAME- General Discussion

Started by Ushgarak94 pages

Something was drafted, but I don't think I ever saw it.

Though there was a version 3 of that lot which had step costs as well as frame cost... long story, but it made a very interesting tactical addition as to how melee combat worked. Got binned when the system did. if I can find that, it might have an early Silver Prince.

There was another one as well, designed for one of the bad guys in the upcoming story.

Heh, that'd be neat to see. I mean, don't go out of your way to find it, but if you can, I'd like to look it over. ✅

And I'm sure the second one gives away too much on the upcoming story. 😛

Yes, and actually it never went beyond planning stage.

And this was being written three years ago; the story has changed somewhat since then so that it is no longer necessary for said villain to fight (rather like Melitus, he is more someone to bounce off conceptually than with guns and swords), though the theory behind it is still there.

So we don't actually fight the main villain, then? hmm

Well, you didn't fight Melitus, did you?

Not exactly. He was a bit busy trying to breath, or acting as such.

So, Lana and I were discussing this, but...

Since we're using a different system, I think you should unveil just how much the Agents were able to kick our ass with their silly 'Unstoppable Machine' powers... w00term

I agree!
Show old agent powers! *chants from the masses*

No.

And why would Melitus act?

Feh, at least I tried...

I dunno, but I remember there being a part where Melitus distinctly stopped breathly between each sentence for the Philo team. You made note of it to them, I think.

Then again, this was three years ago. crazy

Your right I remember reading it in that thread.

Context is important.

Agent powers won't be revealed because some are similar to as they are now- Agents still run off a System Resources Pool. So, you can work it all out again!

With Melitus, yes, there was a point where he stopped with the breathing; certainly throughout the entire Philo path. The logic here is not literal, but conceptual- as soon as you ended up in Melitus' 'power', as it were, the situation changed.

But in general, I can certainly reveal that Melitus was not being in any way deceptive about the paralysis. He IS indisposed, and an agent like Jericho is very useful.

There is no danger in me giving away all of Melitus' story, though, because I don't know it. Meanwhile, you'll have someone else to worry about in the new story.

ooh nice, again one we can't kill?

Yippee.

Yay System Resources, and yay enemies.

I'm just going to say it here...

...

But would it kill people to get back to me with their stuff for the training mission right away?

Don't be afraid to submit early; people can make up their turn times later.

Elseise, Team Percy is indeed in continual danger of losing their turn entirely.

Hey Ush, I was taking a closer look at the Preying Mantis v2.6...

What does 'Limited' mean, rule-wise?

It cost more to use it more than once in the same sequence.

Like Inflation?
