USH'S MATRIX GAME- General Discussion

Started by Lord Melkor94 pages

Hey, I have an idea. What if this Stranger( I am calling him like this for now because we don`t know his name) was the programme in charge of the first, ideal Matrix, the one that made humans reject the paradise and die?

Edit- And father propably referred to Architect, though we cannot know all this stuff in game.

And this stuff at Museum- about why species are extinct- it was obvious reference to humans being defeated by Machines- and if Sennacherib had his way, humanity would be extinct.

Perhaps humans were not able to adapt just like dinosaurs, and so didn`t deserve to survive while Machines were superior in everything? But Melkor still believes that all sentient life is priceless.

Priceless? Surely as a soldier of Zion, he believes that freedom is the price of sentient life, right? I mean, he's ended a fair few lives recently.

He kills because he has to- he doesn`t like this.

There still must be a price he sets on life. If it was truely priceless, he wouldn't kill at all.

Price is his survival. He chose freedom, and Machines want to destroy him and entire Zion.

The Stranger is weird.

And guys, for the first time ever in this game, I truly have no freaking clue what I should do...

You should listen to Marduk, I think.

Ush, I have questions, since I am not good at Matrix lore.

People from Zion are not allowed to meet with their former families? Also, our parents from Matrix aren`t the REAL parents, right?

They aren't really your family and all escapees from the Matrix didn't realy feel the false connections the machines set-up, so there is little emotional deal there.

I an unaware if contact is banned; such a rule is probably not necessary.

I am not sure that emotional connection is worthless only because it was created in Matrix......

Also, how long are the fresh recruits trained before being sent to action? Melkor was 17 years old when he chose the proper pill( I don`t think Zion recruits people younger than this) , then I assume he was trained for several months before coming on his first assignment in this game.

But those who escape the Matrix don't feel connection because they instinctively feel it is false. That's why they are loners and outcasts.

I think Zion normally recruits at younger than that, actually.

Can it be considered immoral to recruit children into war? I am not sure that kid should be allowed to make such a choice as between the blue and red pill.

They free them.

Whether they join the military when of age is then up to them, I suspect.

As for the pill- well, this was an issue Melitus addressed in the last game. Even as an adult, how genuine is that choice?

(The first film addressed this issue as well)

Hmm, from the certain point of view, cannot the Exiles be compared to fighters of Zion, considering that the Zionists have chosen freedom from the Matrix and Exiles from the System( not willing to be destroyed is still a choice I think)? My character may consider this issue.

Well, the Oracle said that Machines face a choice when facing deletion to return to the Source or go into exile.

Of course, the Merovingian said that there was no choice at all, which if you feel the pill issue was not a real choice, is very much getting into his area- that what seems like choice is in fact manipulation by those with power.

Yes, this is something close to Melkor`s beliefs- he always felt constrained by the "System", and so he was seeking something else, and finally ended in Zion. This is why he finds knowledge so important, since it helps to make free choices....

That's one thing I wish we actually knew - about how old people generally were when they were recruited and what the usual cut-off age was. That's one thing I can never remember ever actually being mentioned, beyond that Neo was older than they'd normally free someone.

Well, I really should have seen the movies again, I haven`t seen them for years.
