I disagree, Backfire. "28 Days Later" really disappointed me. The first half was outstanding, of course. I was completely pulled into it, and enthralled. The plot was unique, and the story was truly suspenseful and mysterious.
But as soon as they got to the military base, the whole film degenerated, in my opinion. It became ridiculously formulaic, laughably predictable, and unnecessarily gory. The characters who I had cared about suddenly became ruthless and unsympathetic. Example... one of the army guys begs the hero to help him, and the hero just leaves him to be killed? And the little girl driving around in the car, running people over? Come on.
The final sequences of the movie just seemed like a shameless imitation of every other zombie movie ever made. It left a bad taste in my mouth, as I was expecting much more after the amazing and impressive first half.

Thanks Lil B. I haven't seen Deathwatch yet. Do you recommend it?
As for whether I'm a girl, I'm not. But no need for the " 😮 " I don't mind the presumption at all. I guess I should have expected it, considering my name and avatar. In fact, if you read my post and thought that I was female, I take that as a big compliment. Being pegged, based on my writing, as being the more intelligent of the sexes. And hey, I'm in touch with my feminine side.
😄
Sorry for the confusion. It was not intentional. I just loved the film, and the character.

The film you are referring to is The Haunting (made in 1999).
