Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt has cracked under the media pressure after his split with Jennifer Aniston, pelting photographers with eggs.
With six cars loaded with paparazzi sitting outside his home in Beverly Hills day and night, Pitt finally snapped and took out his frustrations on the snappers.
He had more fun with the press by getting a decoy car to lead them on a wild goose chase.
A car shot out of the mansion and led a trail of cars on a high-speed chase through the streets of Los Angles to the airport, only for the pursuers to discover the stars were not in it.
The only real clue to the fact that Aniston was inside the huge house was the size of the takeaway they ordered in soon after arriving back from their tumultuous holiday in the Caribbean with Courtney Cox and David Arquette.
The timing of the separation announcement surprised friends who have known the relationship has been on the rocks for some time.
"The marriage has been over for a while, but Brad and Jen had seemed happy to keep up the charade that they were still happy together. Then this statement came out of the blue," said a studio source.
"Something must have happened while they were on vacation. Either that or they just decided that New Year was a good time for the old out with the old, in with the new kind of attitude."
